As a longtime fan of Blaze Pizza, I was excited to learn that a new location had opened near my home. I stopped by on a Saturday evening around 9:50 PM. The store lists its closing time as 11:00 PM, so while I understand that some pre-closing procedures begin before that time, I did not expect the kitchen to already be well into its shutdown process.
The staff appeared visibly bothered by my arrival, despite the fact that two additional customers came in after me. After finally being helped and placing my order, I was extremely disappointed to learn, only after asking and once my pizza was cooked, that the signature wood-fired oven had already been turned off for the night. Instead, the pizza would be cooked using a conventional conveyor toaster.
The wood-fired oven is a defining part of the Blaze Pizza experience, and cooking the pizza this way significantly changes the final product.
The employee mentioned that the oven is turned off at 10 PM. The wood fired oven is literally apart of the brand, and the reason why I visited. If shutting off the oven early is indeed the policy, the store bears the responsibility to advertise an earlier effective closing time for the oven or clearly inform customers before ordering that the pizza will be cooked differently and result in a noticeably inferior product.
Charging the same price while delivering a significantly different experience felt disappointing and misleading. As someone who has enjoyed Blaze Pizza for years, this was a very frustrating first visit to this new location. Seems like other patrons who have commented since its opening have faced similar experiences.

Pizza is great we love it best pizza I've ever eaten in my life.
I ordered online and decided to eat it there. The cashier was friendly and brought it to my table. The pizza tasted like it was made with love! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this location. Gracias
