I grew up in an area where there are a variety of restaurants. I expect a certain taste and experience, whether that is fair or not. I understand most Spanish BUT can't speak a lick which has led to some interesting times in my life..lol. But back to the food. I normally order the pork chops special or steak with onions. For my sides plantains black or red beans with rice. Though I prefer the black. They also make delicious juices on the spot. There is always a good portion of food served. Porkchop special comes with 4 chops. Believe it or not they have a sit down area in the back. I can't speak to prices. To me good food costs what it costs AND this IS good. But it seems more than reasonable to me. They also have food already cooked and waiting if you do not want to wait. Friendly people and move quickly with a friendly atmosphere. Spanish speaking but there are English speakers there and definitely at the cashier spot.

The best thing about this place is the tripe and the avocado and tomato salad they have.I always order the large size of tripe (enough for two) that comes with a small size of white rice (this one for one person), this currently costs me around 15 dollars.They make it to order, I always call and order it for pickup./ I am editing this comment that I had posted months ago, it seems that they changed my chef, I no longer recommend it, I sent to buy a tripe and it didn't taste like anything, the same as the rice... a disappointment.

My go to spot any time I'm craving authentic Spanish food!!! ? the food is always so on point and flavorful! And the portions are great too!! Love this place. Definitely try them out!
Good food, (although a little cold) the waitresses a little rude, the tip and the service (in our case it was half of the bill) is included in the bill.

I always order from doordash, el Dorado is pretty good... I haven't had a plate of food I needed to dump in the trash yet, although sometimes, when ordering pernil, the oil collected on the bottom is a bit much and once or twice I got a container of mainly fatty chunks of pernil and soft soggy pork skin. Understand that I've ordered from el Dorado over 50 times and 2 times out of 50 plus isn't bad at all. Their food is flavorful and fresh ... the only reason they are my go to....
Awesome place. Prices increased significantly but portion size decreased. The standard inflation scenario.

I am beyond annoyed with El dorado. I don’t understand why do they have to put so much grease on top of the rice. If I ask for white rice, chicken stew and beans why can’t I even see the white rice. It’s covered with the chicken juice. Ya shouldn’t do this to customers unless we ask for extra grease . If I wanted in ASOPADO DE POLLO I WOULD GET THAT BUT I DID NOT. I really hope they get it together with this because it’s really annoying, and don’t give me I should order it separate because there is no need for me to do that is white rice was cooked separately from the chicken from the beginning.
