Update: 10/26/21 - I called this time to make sure my order was correct, The Mac collards and turkey wings delicious ???????Saturday, 10/16/21 - 530pmI was in the mood for some soul food,I ordered The turkey wings with yam and mac and cheese, I received turkey wings with yam and collard greens, a small ketchup container filled with mac and cheese ? anyhow, the wings yam collard greens were very good. My little bite size serving of mac and cheese also tasted good

I really hate leaving negative reviews, especially for what I perceive as small businesses, but I also feel feel customer service can’t be compromised. I placed my first order with the restaurant at this location, being excited that there was a store location for the smaller mall location.I placed my order at 6:38pm through a delivery app. Almost immediately, I received a call from the restaurant that something I ordered wasn’t available. I was completely fine with that because it was a side order. My directive was to simply remove that item from my order, no replacement needed. The person on the phone acknowledged that request.As I’m waiting, I recheck the app and it says the restaurant was “wrapping up” at 7:20pm and that the delivery driver was waiting for pickup. The next time I checked at 7:38pm, the app said my order had been cancelled.I assume they closed at 7:30pm, but I’m more upset that I wasn’t informed/ or given an explanation why the order was cancelled. I waited an hour only to have to start my dinner process over again. 2 stars because I wasn’t charged, just asking for a little courtesy.

I ordered the oxtail platter thinking it would come with rice and I received this with a note attached.I don’t have much to say about this place but I just know I won’t be ordering from here ever again!

Arrived excited to have found a place with fried okra. I drove nearly 30 mins to get dried up barely breaded okra. Definitely will not be ordering Okra from here again. But I will give them credit their name is real...They had great Mac & Cheese. Tender and delicious.

I watched them break apart and microwave the “famous” mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese bowl with lobster is 100% artificial crab pretending to be lobster. The macaroni is way over cooked to the point that they break apart on a fork. It took a full 30 minutes to compile our order, despite the fact that 90% of it was reheated mac and cheese. Lastly, ringing us up was a painful experience that took roughly 5 minutes with less than 5 items (and it took multiple times of us repeating what we got). $30 completely wasted, save your time and money and just make some Kraft at home. I really wanted to like this place, but it just failed on every single level.

The service was incredibly slow (35+ minutes), especially considering that almost all of our order was Mac and cheese that was literally broken apart and microwaved in front of us. Nothing about any of the food was “fresh.” The “lobster” is fake crab and makes all of the mac and cheese taste like old fish. $30 completely wasted, save your time and money. I wish I could say we loved it, but we threw all of it out after a couple bites.
