*bought from food truck* i was so excited to try their tacos because how different their options were and honestly one of the worst ive had. i got the buttermilk chicken, beef brisket & jerk chicken. i can say the buttermilk chicken was good 8/10- batter was flavored & the green tomato+jalapeno was really good, though the 3 huge crispy tenders ripped my tortilla. BUT THE JERK CHICKEN???? 0/10 i swear it was a drizzle of bbq sauce, also i think they gave me beef instead of chicken AND the taco fell apart. the brisket taco could’ve been good if the PILE of slaw wasn’t so wet because this one also fell apart. overall terrible taco eating experience.
i read their replies to some of their low reviews… YALL SALTY LOL. we absolutely go to support small businesses/trucks, if the food tasted bad, we’re going to let you know. that’s the whole point of reviews. DO BETTER! :)

We had the jerk chicken and pork al pastor tacos. They were delicious! The tacos were difficult to eat because the tortillas were so full. When i picked it up, the filling spilled out and the tortilla fell apart after 2 bites. The chips and guac were great. The guac was very fresh. We would definitely go back. Yum.

We had the jerk chicken and pork al pastor tacos. They were delicious! The tacos were difficult to eat because the tortillas were so full. When i picked it up, the filling spilled out and the tortilla fell apart after 2 bites. The chips and guac were great. The guac was very fresh. We would definitely go back. Yum.

I had high expectations considering all the awards this restaurant is decorated with, unique flavor combinations on the menu, and praise on social media.
Unfortunately, I left very underwhelmed. I tried a few different tacos on the menu - the sesame tuna, crab fritter, and pork al pastor. The flavors were just not there. Dry pork, bland torillas, disproportionate ingredients...
I'm really curious about what the competition was for them to win the best seafood, vegetarian, and beef taco at the New Jersey Taco Festival.

The focus, however, is centered around my experience with the food, for the reasons that I mentioned. Maybe y'all had a bad day, it happens, but my experience would still be the same. As a home cook and foodie, I'm always happy to be proven wrong. ?

What happened to this place?I’ve been coming here since they opened. The last year it’s gotten significantly worse. I keep giving them a try after try but each time it’s worse than the time before.The corn is not cleaned. Tables not wiped down even when the place is empty. And as bad as the food has been lately. Today we got 4 burned tacos. The burned food was so bad that it cracked in my mouth like eating sand.Not sure why they thought it would be ok to serve that. Also it took a really long time to get, even though we were the only ones here. They offered to remake them as it was inedible. The second batch was just as bad. Turns out by the findings in my food that they just don’t clean the flat top so I got all the burned scrapings from that.I tried taco affair. I tried.
