Came in and it was totally empty. I called in my order and they still needed a few minutes which was totally fine. What stood out to me was the vibes which were very weird and quiet. They gave me my food and no thank you, no have a nice day. I turned and said thank you and that was it… until I got to my car. They forgot the flan. Very disappointed. I was starving so I had a croquetta de jamon and it was really good… but not authentic Cuban food that I’ve grown up enjoying. I don’t think I’ll be back 😔

Cuban Breeze is the closest Cuban cuisine I ever tasted in NJ. Also, a very clean and very warm environment with caring staff. I had the privilege to celebrate my bday this past weekend, we were 15 total, and America and her food service worker, took care of us with great attention in the midst of their regular tasks from usual busy hours. I highly recommend trying out Cuban breeze restaurant if you have not already done to enjoy an exceptional Cuban meal and warm and caring staff, not to mention reasonable prices.

Cuban food is heavy and tasty. If you have an appetite this might be the place for you. Portions are abundant and the food is well prepared. My roast pork was on the money, tostones nice and crispy. Service was excellent in this cost and casual restaurant.

Cuban Breeze is good for me because I can basically walk there from my house, so it’s super convenient when I’m in the mood for it. The manager, Danny, is great to work with especially if your knowledge of Cuban cuisine or your Spanish is rusty. He is extremely patient and helpful. Most of the dishes are left out on a big steam table, and I pick and choose stuff I want, but I’m usually getting it late at night right before they close, so the best stuff has already been served and what I get has been sitting out all day. Not that it’s terrible, but if you want Moros with 3 different meat dishes and add a few desserts, it adds up quickly. The flan is really good, don’t skip that. I got moros, pernil, ropa vieja, pollo guisado, tostones, flan, and a slice of chocolate and carrot cake, that came out to about $55. I got many meals out of it over a few days, so the value was there. It scratches the itch. Maybe the freshly prepared items might have a greater wow factor, I’m not sure. What I really like is they have about 6 or 7 different homemade sauces and salsas in small containers, like chimichurri, an onion one, a jalapeño one and fry sauce, and others. These add that extra special. So roughly every 3 months when I visit it serves its purpose. Try them out.
