The Great Notch Inn is a unique spot to hang out, especially in good weather. This friendly, welcoming place features live music with no cover charge, and the owner is always attentive, making sure you don’t wait long for a drink. The bar’s interior is cozy, with a large front porch perfect for enjoying music and company. Its wood interiors, interesting wall decor, and kind owner give this old-school spot a special charm, reminiscent of Nashville. As a historic place in NJ, it is the last standing type “Roadhouse” around. The Notch Family keeps growing, and visitors are excited to see what great bands will be playing there this year. Despite being old, the place has been rebuilt and remains a beloved landmark, sure to stand the test of time. Recently, WFMU had a remote broadcast with two awesome bands rocking the house, drawing many people eager to have a good time. It’s nice that a back way was added to get in and out without going on Rt. 46. Parking can fill up quick, but parking on the grass is allowed. Visitors have said everyone in the place is very nice, and they look forward to returning for more good times. The place has an original, relaxed vibe where no one needs to be uptight, and many feel it’s an experience unlike any other.
