I’ve had good and bad Bonchon chicken and this was the latter. Didn’t feel like Korean food. This experience felt like when you want asian food but it was actually prepared by white people. For example, the bibimbap.. the egg was scrambled, spinach (namul) was chopped, and the sauce was like a watery dressing.. Should always be an over-easy egg! I think most people order the chicken anyways which was okay so two stars.

I had a great experience the last few times I’ve gone to Bonchon they have this worker named Oscar who’s solid at the front, being able to work very efficiently to take many orders while working alone. I did have a small issue and he got it resolved quickly which added to the overall experience of grabbing food at Bonchon. It’s the little things that Oscar and Bonchon do right that keep me going back.

Gotta give credit where it is due. Ordered via UberEats and everything came fresh, tasty and in great packaging. You can tell they made the fried rice with care. The boneless chicken was well fried and crispy and cooked thoroughly.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. We ordered food from here and it’s only been 30 minutes and I already feel the salmonella coming. The boneless plain wings we got were completely raw, the breading looked toasty but once we took a bite the inside was raw!!! And I dont mean like the middle was a little pink I mean completely uncooked. The chicken katsu tasted as though they had breaded it with the burnt charcoal of a dirty grill. The onion rings were burnt. The octopus balls tasted like they used old and rotten octopus. I can’t further explain how awful this experience was. We all are grossed out and feel sick to our stomachs. I guess the 1 star is for the donuts that were pretty good but everything else kind of negates that.

So I’ve never tried Bon chon before and wanted to give it a try. Well let’s just say I’ll never return to this chain restaurant. So I ordered 5 drumsticks, kimchi, seasoned fries, coleslaw and a Dr. Pepper. The drumsticks were literally terrible. The chicken is not flavored and just fried and then dumped into soy garlic sauce. I was truly disappointed and couldn’t believe I paid 30 dollars for this monstrosity of a meal. Then I tasted the seasoned fries which didn’t even have salt on them, just some parmesan and something else. I had like 5 of them and just so in disgust I threw it away. The kimchi tasted as if it was expired. The best thing they had was the coleslaw which was a 5/10. If I could give this place a 0 I would but the lowest rating is a 1

Amazing chicken, high prices. Not a fancy place, it is a fast food place but ok.

Quick store front semi fast food. Friendly counter staff. Hot delicious food served fast. I took mine as takeout and the chicken was still hot when I got it home.

I ordered half and half boneless, very spicy and non-spicy, but it was not spicy and salty... It was a $43 menu that only had 'Cheetos', MSG, and salty. I don't think it was a good experience. It's hard to expect traditional Korean seasoned chicken.
I remember when Bonchon was just starting and was basically the only Korean fried chicken one would get. I’m so glad to have one near by to bring back that reminder. Every bite into the chicken just reminds me of those care-free days. The cashier was also very friendly and relatable! My social anxiety is already up to max, but when waiting for food and then to get calmed down due to the service? They got me there!

The crunchiness of their chicken did not disappoint and the garlic soy sauce was on point. Great location to get to right off a main street.
