The lo Mein is TRASH..smells like wet dog and does not taste good AT ALL. The fried shrimp is overly oily and not too good. The batter is more dough than actual shrimp. The boneless spare ribs are decent. French fries were soggy with no flavor. The sesame chicken was dry. And they don’t deliver….

Great takeout Chinese food. Been going here for decades. I highly recommend roast pork appetizer.

i’m really sorry to have to give this feedback. I ordered a simple, wonton soup. It had no flavor the meat inside. The wontons was horrible. I ordered dim sum. The meat inside. The dim sum was horrible. It had a sweet taste to it not like any other dim sum I’ve ever eaten, I ordered shrimp fried rice. The shrimp were overcooked and the rice was dried out. I also ordered roast pork egg, foo young it was moist. It lacked in flavor as well. The gravy for the egg foo young was OK. This is the first time I’ve eaten there, and I would not eat there again .

Believe or not, there are "levels" to Chinese fast food (aka bootleg Chinese food). And Lodi Chinatown Gourmet Kitchen is, in my humble opinion, on the lower end. We decided to go out of our way and give them a try, based on some old Yelp photos of their pan fried dumplings and how good it looked in the photos. I constantly subject myself to new, lower-end establishments in hopes of finding gems here and there, but I should have known better with this one. This restaurant is very typical of any Chinese fast food restaurant and they serve most of the usuals here - I'm hoping the "usuals" of Chinese fast food need no introduction what so ever. In addition, there are your lunch specials as well, which are served daily from 11AM - 3PM. We ended up ordering the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings and a Chicken with Garlic Sauce Lunch Special with Pork Fried Rice and Wonton Soup for takeout. First, before I dive into the flavors, it was very disappointing to find out that the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings only came with 6 pieces. 6 pieces for $8!?!? What has this world come to that a bootleg pan fried pork dumpling is $1.33 each!?!? As for the food, meh. The pork dumplings were rather very average. It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst pork dumpling I've ever had. As for the Chicken with Garlic Sauce - another meh. I've definitely had better when it comes to this type of a lunch special. The taste of it all was just a bit off and not as good as other Americanized Chinese fast food we've had at other places. It was worth a try to see if they served better pan fried dumplings than our favorite Chinese fast food restaurant, but the answer was a clear NO. As for the other food, it wasn't much better either.

Best chinese spot in the area. We order from here weekly. Yes prices went up because the economy but this is the best chinese food you'll find for miles. We love ordering here! Always order and it's ready quickly. Ever since I started coming here 5 years ago, I can't even go anywhere else. Their chinese food is so good and puts other chinese spots in the area to shame. Sometimes chinese food can be a hit or miss anywhere but they stay very consistent. I love their fried scallops, chicken wings, chicken and broccoli, the shrimp in lobster , the egg drop soup!!! Boneless spare ribs!! It's all good ! Just go in and try them out

One of the best Chinese food places around . I have been a patron of this restaurant for over 20 years with same owners . The service is good whether it's Kenny or Emily. Restaurant is small more for take out . They have the best hot and sour soup always made fresh to order , shrimp in lobster sauce is amazing and done forget boneless spare ribs are to die for. They are a bit on the pricy side but you get your moneys worth. Big time saver CALL AHEAD !

They don't realize some people can understand some of things they say. And if you hear what they laugh about talking about some of the customers you wouldn't eat there. They are apart of some of the rudest people Ive met since Ive moved here last week. And the will have some of the most disgusting things to say under there breathe..

Do not order from this place. I found a bug cooked in my food. I called the store and the lady told me to bring in the plate ( I guess she didn't believe me). I drove back to show her so she wouldn't think I was lying. She opens the plate, looks at it and says "sorry," opens the cash register, hands me my money back and moves on to the next customer like nothing ever happened. Very rude. I will never go back to this disgusting place.

I have yet to taste a better Chinese food spot than this one. I've been living in this area for 12 years now and it's become iconic to the point that when I have family visit from California and Dominican Republic, this is the first place they want to order from.
