Nothing special about the pizza, pretty plain and undercooked. The service was weird at best, we ordered over the phone and was told 15-20 minutes we waiting 20 before we left and when we got there our pie still took another 20 minutes. And the atmosphere was very awkward, bad parking situation and the staff definitely aren’t interested in giving good service. Wouldn’t recommend and I’d definitely call again before you leave if you’re in a rush and actually want to get in and out.

I don’t even know where to begin to describe what happened the night of Saturday 08/24/2024. I have been going to this place for a year now to buy pizza and have never experienced anything like this. I made an order online for pick-up. Once I arrived at the restaurant the man that was there was SOO DRUNK/ drinking, barefoot and complety dirty, shirt and mouth dirty. The guy could not even talk. I even asked him if he was alone there and he could not even respond to me. It was pointless to even have a conversation with him because he started arguing with me. I left the restaurant and told him that I was going to report this. After I sat in my car he walked to the smoke cigar next door and left the restaurant unattended and wide open LOL. I found this very odd as i said I have been there before and have never seen anything like this. I’m really disgusted on going back to this restaurant or order from there sadly!

Horrible experience…. I received a voucher to my home for a free large size pizza… I’m new to the area and have never been to this pizzeria so I went to use my voucher and instead was treated very poorly by the big guy in the back making the pizza. The voucher said free large size pizza and he refused to give me the pizza we even had the owner on the phone and the sweaty pizza maker and the owner literally argued on the phone right in front of me and my 3 year old daughter I even said it was fine and I would leave, the owner insisted for me to still get it but did say the voucher was no longer valid (it didn’t have an expiration date). By the way this voucher was sent to my home from the township of saddle brook. The owner said I had to spend 10$ to get the free large size pizza which I spent because I had already ordered the pizza over the phone and it was ready when I got there. After I spent the additional 10$ the pizza maker didn’t want to give me the large pizza and made a brand new medium size undercooked soggy pizza that fell apart and was thrown in the trash. The experience was super weird the pizza maker was in the back arguing with the owner literally screaming while I was standing there with my kid I was so uncomfortable I’ve never been through something like this before, if they tried to gain a customer with the voucher they instead lost one, I usually go to Mr Bruno’s and will keep going there after this terrible experience. I have a big family with lots of kiddos so we order pizza all the time. Is not about the money is about the quality of food and how you treat people.

We found this little spot on our way home and was pleasantly surprised! The pizza, penne vodka and garlic knots were fantastic! Can’t get over how super delicious the pasta was. Apart from the food, the service was superb! Definitely coming back.

Alright, alright, let's talk pizza. It's decent, I guess. The crust is fine, toppings are okay, and it's satisfying when you're hungry. Overall, it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the job done when you need a quick bite!
the margarita pizza is one of the best. the flavor is unmatched. garlic knots are a hard pass tho- no flavor which is sad :/

I’ve lived in Lodi for over 20 years and this place definitely has the best pizza! My family orders here at least 3 times a month and every time the pizza is spot on!! Staff is friendly and always greets you with a smile!Pepperoni and Margherita pie is our fav!

You know, we stayed in NJ for vacation, to visit the city to look for great pizza. Turns out, the best pizza we had during our whole week long vacation was in Jersey all along. Essex pizza's staff was warm and friendly. I think it's a family-owned business. If it isn't, it sure feels that way. Loved our pies! Wish we would have tried them earlier in our trip so we could repeat!
