Small RR cafe with great food and service. Our server Denise was super friendly and attentive. Ask for the Rubin sandwich 🥪 but with Cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. Yum 😋

This is a fantastic little place off the beaten path. I've stopped here twice for breakfast. Both times the food was really good, the staff was nice, & I got my food quickly.

Friendly,?quick service, good food and fair prices, and a throwback vibe at a train station. Have been there a few times and will be there many more weekends for brunch.

I went into this place not realizing that a plain iced coffee would be $7. I opted not to buy the drink after realizing the price and purchased a sandwich instead. I guess the owner was around and overheard she actually started to talk about me as if I couldn’t hear her. Calling me “entitled and rude “ mind you I still purchased something and supported the business. Will definitely not be doing that again.

The food was very good and the server was very friendly. This place isn’t anything fancy, they use disposable dishes and cutlery, but it gives a nice small town vibe. It was also pretty cool to see a train pass through as it’s still an active train station.

Best home fries in NJ, small and cozy cafe at the train station.

What a cute café! Very cozy, polite staff, great homemade food. If I was from the area, I'm sure it'd be a fav spot for me.

Quaint and interesting place to eat but the service is not good. Lady at the register is rude. We literally had our food served and in ten minutes gave us the check and would say, no rush. But clearly, we were rushed. Kept asking to take the food we were clearly still working on. Could have been an enjoyable place but the service…

Visiting the area to see my father, we are always on the look out for a new place for lunch. We considered a well known cafe in a neighboring town but he has a hard time getting around, and we knew that parking at that place would be difficult, likely followed by a long wait for a table. Google to the rescue and I found a listing and some great reviews for the Millington Station Cafe. We agreed to give it a shot, and I am glad we did. This is the historic train station on the NJ Transit Gladstone Branch, not far from Basking Ridge. (The station is fully converted to a cafe, and the NJ Transit functions are now restricted to a kiosk on the platform.) There is lots of interesting local and railroad memorabilia in the cafe. We opted to eat outside - essentially on the platform. The food is really outstanding. The three of us had a cheeseburger, a chicken mushroom melt, and a salad. All were prepared very well using fresh home made food. Nothing tasted canned or frozen or pre-cooked. I have very little negative to say about the place, and only high praise for the food. For those who order water with their meal, you can expect to get a tiny 5 oz plastic cup. The outdoor tables are cast concrete round picnic tables with attached bench seats and an odd base at the center of the bench that requires you to straddle one foot on either side. This was quite challenging for my octogenarian father. A charming part of the lunch was seeing a couple of families with young children who came for lunch, and to watch the trains! There is something perfect about seeing a 3 year old filled with glee watching the train pull into the station. We will be back.

A great place for breakfast and lunch. Bring my grandkids there all the time. Inside the original train station. Good food and friendly staff. Reasonably priced! Delicious burgers on a flat top grill.
