Wow I was so impressed with the service at this place. Waiter immediately opened up our wine and brought out ice while we looked at the menu. I had already researched reviews and saw the bruschetta and the chicken Parm looked good so we went with that. Bruschetta was really light and fresh, perfect appetizer for summer. The chicken parm is no joke a huge pounded out chicken breast, generously coveredd in marinara and cheese. I honestly wish I'd taken a photo but I dig in before thinking about that. Finally the dessert guy came around and was super funny and friendly, we settled in the pistachio tartufo which was amazing covered in chocolate with a little bit a raspberry filling. Omg so good just thinking about it now. Since it was our first time there they treated us to dessert and coffee which was so nice and generous. I loved the service and vibe of this restaurant. Will definitely visit again.

Pretty good food, penne was a little salty in my opinion but the chicken Marsala was great.
My husband and I visited Gelone’s with two friends. This visit was disappointing because my husband’s food arrived later than everyone else’s. Even though this happened the food was out of his world. Every dish was delicious. Just perfect right down to the dessert and coffee. When we were leaving we mentioned to the hostess about my husband food arriving late . The next day the manager called us. He said Chris the owner wants to invite you back to make this right. The next week we returned and Chris the owner waited on us. We were seated immediately and our order was taken immediately and our food arrived shortly afterwards. Once again the food was delicious. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service is amazing. Best BYOB in Lyndhurst. For years, my husband and I dined at the Risotto House in Rutherford. But in July the Risotto House closed. So thankfully we found our new restaurant, Gelone, that we can visit every weekend. Thank you Chris for your generosity. We will definitely be back. Sharon and Wilfred Delacruz
