I was so pissed due to the fact that some things are a hit and some are a miss. We ordered $30 of mix pastries the problem was that we ordered 4 tarts which were good. The little custard cups got me so mad because I asked if they were from today and the girl said yes. They were not stale but plan hard. Unfortunately I spit mine out and threw away the rest. The cheese Danish was the same way so we threw that out. What really got me mad was the stale napoleon, which are usually good. The issue i have is nothing in any bakery is cheap so there should be no room for mistakes. When you pay over $2.50 to $3.50 a small pastry that is bite sized, it get frustrating that it is wasted money. I agree that it was 1hr before closing but they should not sell crap like that. I hope they do better. Unfortunately I hate to post but can you imagine you and your daughter craving these pastries and spend $30 bucks for 10 bite sized pastries and a stale napoleon with a stale cheese Danish, apple pocket, custard cup. I wish and hope they do better.

They have honey balls for holidays. Huge box for $20. Typical old school bakery. Parking to the side but pretty small lot. Maybe four to five spots.

The pastries are really good, especially the cup cakes.

Fantastic everything! Bread, cakes, cookies, pastries... and let's not forget the Italian Ice! They have a small lot, and if it's full there is usually plenty of street parking.

The cookies can be a little bland but I do love certain pastries they make here. They make the best lobster tails and the best apple turnovers. Those alone are what I come back for. I haven't tried the cakes so I can't comment on them.

Edit: Also the best biscotti!! Fresh biscotti are so delicious.

Warning: Once you try Lyndhurst Pastry Shop, the holidays will never feel right without their cookies. I don’t live close anymore, but we still drive back every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas just to get a big box. Totally worth the trip—every time.

I have to say I always love the rum cake. However, my daughter ordered one for my birthday on Saturday, and there were fresh strawberries in it. I’ve never had fresh strawberries in it before. Or we would have requested no fresh strawberries, as I’m allergic to them. Needless to say….i couldn’t enjoy my birthday cake 😞
