This was my second time eating at this restaurant the food was amazing again! I can eat a bowl of whatever dressing they put on their salad. The staff is always super friendly and they keep the atmosphere lit enough to make the settings intimate yet visible. If you go you have to try the fried ice cream dessert. I will definitely go back!

Il Cafone Trattoria in Lyndhurst has been with me since childhood, and in all that time I have never, EVER had a bad meal here. They’ve faced adversity, kept the doors open, and never stopped innovating when the odds were stacked against them. That alone deserves respect—but the food? That’s where the love story really begins.
Don’t hold back. Order a second appetizer. Then a second entrée. And for the love of all things delicious, whatever you do, do NOT skip dessert. The fried ice cream is weak-in-the-knees good.
The service? Please. You should be so lucky to be treated like family anywhere else. Every time I walk in, I feel welcomed, cared for, and reminded why this place has such a loyal following.

So my friend, Ellen and I just had an amazing amazing dinner at Il Cafone in Lyndhurst. We had two specials and cappuccino dessert drinks. It was amazing. Service was amazing. This is not a place to be missed. The sad part is we were the only ones in the restaurant. Please don’t let this restaurant die. Make a reservation tonight.
