Been going to the Manahawkin restaurant for a long time. Love the atmosphere and the staff. But the last 4 times now the food has been way off. Usually get the “two for” menu and the sirloin has been very tough and or rubbery. Decided to try the bourbon burger asked for how it to be cooked and it came out burnt and asked to have it redone but then came out raw. Last night decided to try the strawberry and chicken balsamic salad. I had looked it up online to see what it would look like, it looked good in the picture and ordered it. When it came out it had ONLY one strawberry cut on it. Virtually no onions, and or the dressing was almost nonexistent. The chicken was burnt and the lettuce was not even cut into pieces. Had to ask the waitress for more dressing. Waitress was wonderful. Either Applebees is cutting back on quality food products or the kitchen staff is not into preparing the dishes lately with care. I very rarely ever leave a review because I know every business is trying to make it in this economy but if your customers start to waiver to visit due to uncertainty in the food quality things need to be reviewed to keep your repeat customers.

Beth is hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. From the moment she greeted our table, her energy, professionalism, and genuine personality stood out. She was attentive without ever being overbearing, and she anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask. My order was perfect, the timing was smooth, and she checked in just enough to make sure everything stayed on point. On top of that, she was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience feel effortless. Beth is truly an asset to the restaurant, and you can tell she takes pride in her work. I was hesitant to go to dinner by myself, but l always wanted to see my favorite performer from Albert Music Hall, singer extraordinare Tony Pileggi, at a dinner venue. Great and very reasonably priced food and beer, good service and Applebee's is now new favorite, preferably to also see Tony.

I love apple bees so much. The prices are absolutely amazing it's affordable and so tasty 2 of the times I came I had the same server I really wish I knew her name but she is so kind and polite she really does her job well she got our food out so fast. Employees are super super kind the atmosphere is nice and relaxing it's overall an amazing place to go to would always choose apple bees over any fancy place I come here with my friends at least once every 2 weeks it's a great dinner/lunch spot deserves more Recognition apple bees is amazing

We walked into the restaurant and were initially greeted by a young hostess who was pleasantly seating guest with a smile. However, a older hostess quickly stepped in, didn’t smile or acknowledge us beyond asking for a name, and informed us there would be a 15-minute wait-despite the dining room having multiple vacant tables. She started folding napkins and as more customers arrived, she repeated the same cold routine: no greeting, just names added to the list and vague wait times. After she finished folding napkins and several minutes later, I asked when we might be seated and her response was in a couple of minutes. She preceded to seat another group at a table that had been empty the entire time. I understand that waitstaff can only manage so many tables at once, but I would expect that number to be more than two. We decided to leave and headed to Applebee’s in Forked River, where we were greeted with a smile and seated right away.

Service wasn't great this visit but overall it's still a good stop for a bite. Our server, Alex E, was just very slow to get to the table, return to take our order, and to check in on the food. It also took way to long to get a beer and bottle of wine delivered to our table. The food arrived quickly and hot and it was very good. The service and personality oddly picked up when it was time for us to tab out.
