Disappointing Experience Due to Lack of Management Response
I visited the Applebee’s in Manalapan tonight with my wife and son for what we hoped would be a nice dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We were seated near a large group of about 14 teenagers who were extremely loud and disruptive throughout our entire meal. They were constantly yelling, getting up and down, and even bumped my chair twice amidst the chaos.
While I understand that restaurants can get busy, the lack of staff intervention was unacceptable. It was clear this group was disturbing others around them, yet no one from the staff stepped in to address the situation. I asked our waiter if we could move to another section, and he said he would speak to the manager. He returned to inform us the restaurant was full (despite what appeared to be empty tables in other sections) and said the manager would come speak with us — but that never happened.
I rarely ever leave complaints about dining experiences, but this situation was extreme and poorly handled. I’m very displeased and hope this feedback encourages better crowd management and customer service in the future.

Food was good but service was awful. We arrived about 730 pm and were told there was a 10 minute wait. We waited at the bar. 10 minutes or so later we were seated at a high top and there we sat for a half hour. Eventually a server came over and took our order. It was annoying and because there were a lot of people standing around chatting with each other and nobody took our order

I asked for more beer cheese because there was none on the fries the serve than makes me pay for it then argues there was no beer cheese then dumps the cheese he brings out all over the fries

Poor service, food was terrible and when we spoke with the manager the best she was able to do was take off the $ for my burger. Service was unacceptable we were looking for the server the whole time just to get a drink. Never again will I visit this place
Waiter did not come for about 30 min, I honestly was debating leaving it also took extremely long for the food to come out. Some things we asked for never even came out just all in all not good service. Staff needs to be more on top of their tables truly dissatisfied with my experience

For the type.of restaurant I guess it's good. I feel waiters should come to the table every so often to see if you need anything. The place is outdated.

Went for a little yap sesh with my girls and we had Scott as our waiter. He was so wonderful. So kind and personable. Someone give this kid a raise, he deserves it!

I wanna give credit to the waitress we had last night . Courtney was so sweet , patient and helpful too . She is a great waitress and I hope to get her again . :)

Had a fantastic experience at Applebee’s Grill & Bar in Manalapan! The food was delicious, served hot and fresh, and the menu had plenty of great options for everyone in our group. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or a full dinner with family and friends, this Applebee’s never disappoints. We’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend!
Attended this apple bees 1/2/25 and was not disappointed. Our server Scott was personable knowledgeable and excellent. Not only did he bring the food at a timely manner and answer all our questions, he had a great personality too and was great to talk too! Next time I come in I will be asking for Scott!
