My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Cholula for Englishtown, our 103rd town. Most folks get takeout, but we decided to eat outdoors on their tented patio. Service was fine, although minimal, as its primarily a takeout place. I judge most Mexican places on their mole, and Cholula passed the bar! Ceviche mixto, burrito bowl, and chicken tacos were all good too.

Today I was excited to order Birria tacos from this place. I’ve been going for years now and never had a bad experience until today. I placed my order online and had my brother pick it up around 830 PM. As I’m eating my tacos a dead mosquito fell out of my food. I called the store to get a refund and the woman who answered the phone said no we are closed and hung up on me. I didn’t want new food, I will never eat here again, this was my dinner for the night and I was extremely disappointed and disgusted. I never leave reviews but I felt this was necessary because of how poorly the staff handled this situation :(
