Went there for my wife's birthday. The staff and especially the food were fantastic. I will definitely go back the ratings really are legitimately true. You can't miss with this restaurant.
Once you go, you'll understand why it's such a popular place. The food the service the ambience is amazing. You definitely have to try this place out.
The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful. My significant other and I try to come to La Lupa at least once a month. The food, the ambiance, and just the overall experience is amazing!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING.
Everything was spectacular. Appetizer through dessert, it just kept getting better and better. The service was great and we were very comfortable. I haven't had a meal that good in a long time, and I go to a lot of the newer hot places. La Lupa exceeds them all.
One my favorite restaurants ANYWHERE. Always try to hit this spot when visiting family in NJ.
The manager Cole was excellent, food was high quality, portions extremely small. Our server, Fiona was wonderful. I told my husband Crème Brûlée was one of the top five I have ever had. Cooked and carmelized perfectly, turns out Fiona the server made the Crème Brûlée, she was so happy when she heard me say that. The noise level makes it difficult to have a conversation and it does not help as my husband wears hearing aids. Overall a thoughtful, and unusual dining experience. The service is outstanding.
First time at LaLupa. Food was excellent. All Pasta made there, most all locally sourced so yes, a bit more pricey but we understand. The restaurant is small but set up nicely. The atmosphere is great. It did get a little noisy with people talking over others. Will definitely be going back. Service was excellent too.
Reservation made for our anniversary, arrived a few mins early and were told people were finishing up. There are about 9 tables squeezed into a small narrow area. No place to sit to wait, stood in doorway for about 15 mins. Seated, and could barely hear the waitress with the loud music and people chattering. Hard to have a conversation in that setting. It's also very dark. The food was very delicious. Rice ball app was perfect, focaccia bread was good, I had carbonara and my husband had cowboy ribeye with potatoes. He asked for the steak to be medium rare and it was definitely rare. We didn't complain since we would rather a steak under than over cooked. I feel as though the price of the steak was a little outrageous. $180. No prices on menu for those items. We had a nice dinner, the food was tasty but, probably not going to return anytime soon.

Went for dinner for the first time. I had heard great reviews and was very excited. I should always follow my initial instinct; if I don't smell garlic in an Italian restaurant, leave! The atmosphere is very dark even, in the daylight. It's extremely loud and the tables are way too close together for my liking. Everything is overpriced for the portion you receive and everything is a la carte. There is no bread on the menu either which I couldn't believe. Our appetizer of fried chicken came out raw. We sent that back and it was returned fully cooked. We ordered pasta stuffed with chicken and when it arrived we were taken aback. It literally was 4 pieces of what appeared to be wonton with a miniscule piece of chicken, which didn't have any flavor. The brussel sprouts were very good! We had a $100 gift card which we put towards the bill and were told by the manager that, after multiple attempts, it "wasn't going through". We stopped for dessert at another establishment and the gift card went through with no issues! One and done for me and my party.

Unfortunately the experience in la Lupa was not worth the over price meals they serve. The chicken appetizer was not fully cooked there were some raw pieces. The portions were very small and everything was a la carte. BYOB must mean bring your own bread , since none was served. We ordered a pizza with sausage that had no sausage. Place was very small and cramp. It was so loud and noisy we could not hear each other speak. They were unable to charge our visa gift card which we were able to use at another establishment. Needless to say my party had a very disappointing experience and will not return. Dissatisfied customer.

Tiny, dark, loud. Pasta portions too small for an entree. Lots of MP items at this strip mall no alcohol restaurant which required a CC for the reservation.

I made a reservation at La Lupa on Thursday for Saturday night. After driving over an hour from NYC, I arrived only to be told I couldn’t be seated because the person I spoke to on the phone never sent a text confirmation. The service was absolutely horrible, and the staff treated me poorly despite their mistake. This experience was a complete waste of time, and I will not be returning. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is unacceptable.”
