Long time Rook enjoyer, very disappointed in this location. They charge you for 16oz in a 24oz cup and give you ~12oz of actual coffee, with ice.Pictured is my "16oz" Bigger coffee with ice as well as 16oz of only water. You can see they are identical. This is the 2nd time I've received a comically lesser amount of coffee in my "bigger" order at this specific location. I understand they do not fill to to the top, but this is unacceptable. Especially when the explanation given is "it's a pre-measured amount".

Solid coffees. I usually get the Turkish coffee when I am in town because it is so good and can't stand drinking out of the family Keurig. Baristas are awesome, down to earth and upbeat! Wish they had some condensed milk just for us Vietnamese coffee buffs. A must visit in Manalapan NJ !

Not really a review writer, but I watched your staff get bombarded with at least 60 coffee tickets and they calmly and quickly made everyone’s coffee without a single issue or mistake. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

I wish I lived closer to a Rook. This Manalapan location is the closest to me. When I have the time, I'll drive the 40 minutes because it's worth it. Coffee is always awesome and staff are friendly and efficient.

Hail, fellow brew enthusiast! A journey to Rook Coffee led me to a tankard of their glorious cold brew, a drink fit for Odin himself. With each sip, I felt the surge of caffeine akin to the power of Mjölnir coursing through my veins. The flavor, as rich as tales sung by skalds, awakened my senses like a battle cry at dawn. Rook Coffee, thou art a haven for those who seek the elixir of the gods. Raise a horn in tribute to this ambrosial nectar, for it has earned its rightful place in Valhalla's feasting hall. Skål!

One of the better local coffee options while out and the pricing is pretty fair. The quality is sometimes hit or miss with the hot coffees sometimes being a bit weak on the strength. I usually stop here when traveling down Route 9 and have been here a few dozen times. We had tried their banana toffee cold brew the other day and went back to get more recently as it was a nice treat for this warmer weather we've been having. I'm not fond of plain ice in cold drinks as the watered-down effect takes away from the experience if you don't drink it right away. Some coffee places I've seen use coffee ice instead of plain ice, which is not a bad compromise but does involve more prep work.My girlfriend requested a little ice and I asked for no ice at all. When we got our drinks, it seemed that they ran out of their larger cold drink cups because my girlfriends cup was maybe 70% full and my cup was barely more than halfway full. I was visibly confused at first. We paid over $11 for these two drinks and felt a bit cheated. There was no explanation while ordering or when fulfilling the order about the ice modification, cup size substitution, or level of the drink pour.I understand that portion control and measuring is important for consistency and quality but the staff should explain the effect of a request such as no ice. Something along the lines of "We can use little or no ice but the specialty cold brew drinks we prepare will use the same amount of coffee and flavorings as we measure it out per size/order so the cup won't look as full but you're getting the same amount of ingredients just without the ice, it will taste stronger, and it will not be as cold. Is that okay?"The lack of any explanation while placing a half empty cup on the counter was not a great experience.Either properly explain the consequences of certain drink modifications to all customers while ordering or backfill the cup with the base product eg. cold brew—and keep the flavoring measurement the same while either explaining or giving the customer the option if they wanted to fill the cup with more cold brew or leave the ratio as is.

Overpriced cup of coffee that is all ice and they can't even fill it up to the top. This establishment has really gone downhill. They use to make good coffee and now it's just mediocre and expensive.

Coffee shops are becoming scarce as the chains take over. A nice alternative to Starbucks, Rooke offers the small shop experience with the fast chain feel. They grind your beans and brew it for you as you order. Hence there is a slight bit of a wait for your coffee regardless of time that you go. Only issue is the coffee was very watered down. Coffee should have a kick. This one did not. The taste was good. Food is the usual fare. Got a raspberry scone. It was delicious. Definitely worth a try. I will be back.

Really nice location in a shopping center off route 9 South. This is my first Rook experience and I will be definitely returning! The traditional cold brew with oat milk was perfect. Service was very fast. I tasted the decaf iced with oat milk as well and it was so creamy and spot on. The merch inside was calling my name - especially the can pint glasses and the baseball hats, such quality goods and coffee.
