Man, oh man. This chain and location is an underdog. The establishment is unassuming: I've driven by going both ways hundreds of times and didn't even realize it was here until I was craving Cluck U and looked it up on Yelp after thinking back to how excellent the chicken at the Red Bank location can be. This location has the best fried chicken I've had anywhere, hands-down. Sit-down restaurants, fast casual, corner strip malls--this is the top dog. Moist, fresh chicken with a crispy exterior and sauces that are to die for, like the Traditional Death. Honey is ridiculously fantastic on their fried chicken, so don't be shy to order it covered in honey. It's apparent why it's so incredible: patrons can hear them cutting chicken by hand if they walk in at the right time. Even the dredge that the chicken is fried in is house made. They recently added gluten-free options, and they take great care to ensure that there's no cross-contamination. This is all house made, and I've been told it tastes so good that a) people with celiac's have traveled long distances for it and b) some non-celiac customers order it. This is the epitome of fried chicken. The rest of the menu, including the chicken tenders and mini bites, is also cut by hand from a whole chicken. They do have grilled chicken for when spring/summer diets begin. The fries, or spuds, are incredibly tasty as well, and served hot in a large portion. Their Cajun seasoning, as one can guess, is house made and more reliant on cayenne and spices to bring out flavors rather than a more generic version. This was also better than any chain. Freshness and house-made ingredients are what make or break any restaurant, be it a sushi chef slicing a wild-caught salmon fillet or a chicken chef butchering a fresh chicken. That makes all the difference at Cluck U, which also offers some great deals and a strong overall value as a top fried chicken chain.

I love the food but I ordered via door dash and the order was incorrect and after an hour of being on the phone with them, they finally agreed to get me the missing food. I decided to give them a 2nd chance. It was expensive on door dash but that’s a door dash and me thing, not cluck u. Again, food is incomplete. I called them and instead of trying to help me get a credit or how I can get the missing food, I got “mistakes happen”. “It was just a mistake”. It wasn’t until I asked how this was going to be remedied did they provide a solution. I declined because I got attitude that they would have to call door dash. I took the hit credit wise so my niece could eat, but I won’t be eating here again.

Had the Gluten free fried chicken, easily the best Fried chicken I have ever had in my life! You can't even tell it's gluten free! Almost the whole menu can be made gluten free, gluten free items are same prices as non gluten free plus an additional $2 surcharge, which is really impressive! Separate fryer and prep area! Ordered two 12 piece fried chicken family meals and also fried fish meal. Mac and cheese, cole slaw and fries chicken waa perfection! Fish was amazing! All sides delicious. And WOW!! The Bees are amazing we got honey and cinnamon.Will the manager carried the tray of chicken to the car for my daughter in law. So kind of him and he was so nice.The person who took ghe order over the phone was super nice also.Awesome place and they now serve Gluten free.Thank you Wil!

The food was pretty good for being my first time at a cluck U. Don't get the 911 sauce!! It's way too hott!!! It's not even fun. I ate all 5, which is the challenge that they have, and you get a free shirt, but you can't drink anything or use sauces to wash it down. Parking is good, pretty large lot, and it's a decent location. The food came quickly, and the staff interacted with us, which was cool.

So I ordered takeout through Ghoul came and got a bag they had forgotten my soda initially, but no big deal got all the way home to find that half my order was missing. I’m very disappointed as I have worked a 13 hour day and all I wanted to do was eat. I tried calling the restaurant but was placed on hold for an exorbitant amount of time no one picked up my phone call after they placed me on hold. I am too tired to go back to the shop. I guess my advice would be to just go in and order the food and wait for it to be prepared.

Some huge raves for Cluck U of Wall and some gripes...Let's start with the raves...Hands down, the best fried chicken in the area! My girlfriend and I were hankering for fried chicken and we have always been disappointed with Popeyes and even Supermarket offerings. We decided to try Cluck U for the first time and we came away extremely changed by the experience.The chicken was unbelievably spectacular. We ordered the Family 12 piece and the guy who answered the phone asked if we wanted honey on it. We agreed, and that made all the difference in the world. The chicken was fresh, hot, crunchy and wonderfully sweet thanks to the honey coating. It took a few bites from my girlfriend and I to come to instant agreement that we would have to come to this place more often.The young man at the counter was very polite and the manager, from the back, was certain to say thank you as we picked up our order. Nice touch that was appreciated.That being said, there were a few disappointments...First, the Pickup/Delivery Menu is not the same as the website menu. We could not order the 12 Piece Family Dinner online as it wasn't listed. I ended up having to call the location directly which was a bit of an inconvenience. I hope this will be something that they fix (if they are reading this review).Next, the sides were not very good. We both agreed that the mashed potatoes, Macaroni and cheese and (especially) the coleslaw was pretty subpar. The Local Smoke Restaurant down the street has much better quality sides than Cluck U. Next time we'll try the fries and salads as sides and hope that we fare better. We like the 12 piece offering but if the sides are going to continue to be this underwhelming we may have to look at something else.
