I tried a quick lunch at Surf Tacos in Manasquan. Cool place, clean with a beachy vibe and interior. Service was prompt, which is always good. I ordered the $15 plate with 2 tacos, chips, beans, rice, and a drink that is a substantial meal. Opted for a Mahi and a Surf (breaded cod) taco to mix it up. They have a nice salsa bar, and I tried a little of them all. Drink offers soda or a tea dispenser.
The Cod taco was heavily breaded and not very tasty. Salsa helped. The Mahi was blackened and offered plenty of taste. I'd order it again.
Overall, I was pleased with this taco combo as a lunch option. Service and restaurant were nice, I'll visit again.

I’ve been ordering from this location since it opened, for maybe two decades. In all those hundreds of orders, I’ve had an incorrect item maybe once. Respect to the staff there. Also, the actual Surf Taco is a classic.

The tacos are bigger than you think, two tacos would have been plenty.

Thanks for nothing, Surf Taco. $25 for two cold tacos ($18) and guac ($6) with tip --and they can't even fill up the chip bag?!
Prices are out of control for such a small place. Ketchup brazenly tossed in at the salsa bar. You can hear the staff in the back yelling at the computer about too many orders coming in simultaneously.
The whole atmosphere is dystopian. They're also hiring if you want to be miserable.
I miss when Surf Taco was not the Ray-Ban of local fast food tacos.
Parking: 3 spots out front that are usually full. Sketchy street parking adjacent to a volunteer fire department with vehicles. Suggest walking or biking here if you can.

Food made me nauseous, I got a burrito and the staff is a bit incompetent and unhelpful.

Food is bland.
I feel like if you’re going to change the food at least make it tastes flavorful. Even the guacamole was disappointing. Kinda hard to mess up guac. Come on man. I don’t mean to be harsh, but sheesh.

Staff and place is usually friendly and good service. I went there for my second time and got super bad food poisoning from the quesadillas.

Taco 'bout a disastrous visit. Understaffed on Memorial Day weekend, and the staff that is working is literally hiding in the back because of irate customers at the counter. 50 minutes to receive a simple 2-person order. HOLY GUACAMOLE, it sucked!
