We discovered a quaint little bakery in the next town with the sweetest and charming Chef, Lou. We bought some Danish pastries and a very special pastry named after the owner's late wife. He engaged us with a nostalgic story about the pastry and now we want to go back and try everything this cafe has to offer. It is evident that everything is made with great ingredients and a lot of love.

Great local bakery! Recently did a large order of cookies and cupcakes for the holidays. Everything turned out great and everyone loved them. GREAT prices too! Highly recommend this place!!

Stopped in there today for a couple donuts. Seemed old and had no taste. Love to support small businesses but......
The place was better off as a hardware store.

Horrible experience, got assorted cookies, they tasted old and weird. Mold on strawberry cake. Im not sure how this business is still open.

Absolutely fantastic bakery!
J&L Bakery is a hidden gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the comforting smell of fresh pastries and warm smiles. Everything I’ve tried—from their buttery croissants to the beautifully decorated cakes—has been top-notch. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into what they bake. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready to recommend something delicious. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat or ordering for a special event, J&L Bakery never disappoints. Highly recommend!

So my kids and I tried this place today and I think it’s safe to say I will never go back. Besides the place having a weird smell, the male owner and a woman customer were having a conversation and said loud enough for my teen and I to hear…” instead of finding a cure for cancer they should fix the queers” 😳 very disappointed!!!

Old school charm. Cozy spot with a place to sit. Owner is the sweetest and is extremely accommodating. Tried the glazed ring and it was delicious. Taking a box of their fresh doughnuts home with me.

The owner is dishonest. I purchased a surprise bag through the app Too Good To Go, expecting fresh food made the same day as promised. Instead, I received a box of stale frozen pastries.

Cookies are mouth watering. They are soft and fall apart in you mouth. Going back to try other foods.

Went in here expecting it to be a classic bakery. Not much food you would expect from a bakery to choose from. Maybe 4 or 5 things at 930 in the morning. Kind of disappointing.

Just moving back to NJ and I was anxious to try the bakeries in the area. I am a bakery fanatic and go out of my way to find the best places. This is not it! Selection was small, prices on the high side. Decided to get a jelly donut just to get a sense of this place. Got home and discovered a donut that was actually hard on the outside and stale and threw it in the trash. Will never purchase from this place again.Despite the friendly service, I gave it one star because, in the end, it's the food that counts.
