An old fashioned ice cream spot with tables to sit at and enjoy a nice treat. They have an excellent small vanilla shake and they don't skimp on the whipped cream. It costs about $5 and the sizing is more equivalent to a medium. All of the ice cream tastes fresh. Although prices are higher than we are used to, the quality is worth the cost. Before trying Board Walk Ice Cream, I thought Torico had no competition, but good news for ice cream lovers—this place is a gem, even if you’re far from Jersey City. I had the Swiss Chocolate and Coffee Mud Pie with wet walnuts and hot fudge, while my girlfriend enjoyed Cake Batter and Cookies 'n Cream with hot fudge and sprinkles. Probably one of the best tasting ice cream places have been to. Very unique texture on the ice cream with complex taste profile. The black raspberry ice cream is a definite try for an ice cream connoisseur. Their orange swirl is also worth trying. One of those hidden gems in Manville. Only open during summer so make best use of the short period of time they are open during the year.
