I wanna share a disturbing experience I had here on 1/23 around 2am. For safety I’m posting this on a throwaway account

While sitting at the bar alone, I was approached by an individual who made an explicit offer to engage in prostitution. This was completely unsolicited and made me feel unsafe and extremely uncomfortable.

What concerned me even more is that this did not appear to be an isolated interaction. When I questioned what was happening, the individual pointed out multiple people seated around the bar and indicated they were involved. When I spoke to staff, it was clear they were already familiar with this person and this behavior, and no meaningful action was taken to stop it or remove anyone involved. I contacted the police. they told me this is something they have seen before at this location.

I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision about whether this is an environment they’re comfortable in.

I've got to tell you about Jay's Elbow Room. Whether you've spent your whole life in the area or are just passing through, you're in for a treat. This place has it all: pool tables, cozy dim lighting, a fantastic jukebox, and bartenders who serve the coldest domestics and the most delicious whiskey-ginger combo, all at great prices. The non-fancy vibe is fantastic. If you're after cocktails, want to relax outside, or prefer to enjoy a cold beer at the bar or in a booth, this is the spot for you. With affordable drinks, good company, and zero pretension, it’s genuinely a little piece of heaven. Five stars all around!

Outstanding people, atmosphere, and location. Visited from Texas and absolutely loved the environment. Only thing wrong was they were out of merch.

Rachel,One of the bartenders who works on Monday nights makes my stop at the bar pleasurable. She’s very sociable and good at her job. Wish she was behind the bar more often . Jays is a fun bar and is open later than most other local places. Def recommend this spot !

Classic dive bar with a nice covered deck. Feel free to bring the family as they also have a dining room.

Our waitress Julia!!! took care of us. She the gorgoues badass with the snakebites!
Married, so she has a very lucky hubby!

Chill little 90's dive bar, like sports seems like it is about baseball today, reruns... Wish got to see some love music. The people seemed to be friendly.
Has an elevated patio. I'm definitely chilled and sketchy looking, but it is worth a visit if you like bars. If it rains or snow, there are covers ready to be lowered. So that clever thinking.

The chairs are flimsy but allow you to stretch. The wood floor looked beautiful.
Patio lit up clearly during the night. Smoking can be done in designated areas.
