On Tuesday, February 20, I went out for breakfast with my sister and my son. Before going to Marissa, we stopped by the café next door because we wanted to try their coffee and then have breakfast at Marissa.
Unfortunately, we were not allowed to eat there simply because we were carrying coffee from another place. The person in charge told us that outside food was not allowed. I don’t understand this at all, especially since we were planning to order and eat the restaurant’s food — not just sit there consuming food from somewhere else.
I won’t be coming back. This makes no sense to me. We were actually supporting two local businesses on the same street, and they expected us to throw away what we had already purchased in order to eat at the restaurant. That doesn’t make sense at all.

Stopped in for the first time and instantly felt welcomed by the friendly atmosphere and kind staff. I ordered the chipped beef on toast with a side of sausage for breakfast and it was hearty, flavorful, and very satisfying. Everything was prepared just right and tasted comforting and fresh. I would gladly return again and can confidently recommend this place for both breakfast and lunch.

A Jersey diner, and that's exactly what I wanted. Maritsa's isn't a big glass and chrome streamliner, but it's got all that I want on the inside. Service was on the spot, but not overdone. Food was a simple omelette and fried potatoes, and it was quick, hot, and delicious. Would definitely return.

Went with a friend for breakfast. They food is very good. The servers are very friendly and attentive. I really like the fact the noise level in the restaurant when it is very busy is minimal so you can have a conversation with the people you are with. Great little place. Have been here before has not disappointed.

Definitely a dying breed of restaurant now a days. No frills solid diner food. Ordered an omelette and a coffee and got exactly what I wanted. Eggs were cooked to order and were tasty, coffee was solid and did the job and hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Older people who just enjoy good food at a good price inhabit this place and it is a peaceful getaway for a meal.

I love Maritsas and eat here very often. My main complaint is that I love to add peppers and onions to my homefries and they charge $4.00 to do that. $2.00 for onions and $2.00 for peppers. You get less than a tablespoon of peppers and onions in the homefries and to charge $4.00 for that is outrageous. I will continue to support Maritsas, however I don't order the peppers & onions anymore which is a big let down because that's my favorite way to eat homefries.
