How can you call yourself an Italian restaurant when you can even make an Italian hoagie. I thought an italian hoagie had prosciutto or capicola not imported ham...

If I could give more stars, I would! We sat in the truck after and talked about how perfect everything was before we drove away. Thank you for a beautiful experience for our mid-afternoon lunch!

Always outstanding meals and service at Sal & Joe’s. Nothing fancy but everything you’d want in an Italian restaurant.

Great neighborhood eatery with an extensive Italian cuisine. Tonight we continued on our journey to find the best Chicken Parm and Pasta Pescatore. Good. But not outstanding. What is outstanding is that you get Garlic Bread, House Salad and Soup of the Day before your entree! I’m stuffed! The Lentil soup and the Zucchini soup were excellent. The House Salad comes with house dressing or creamy Italian. Both are light and fresh. No room for Tiramisu or Cannolis so better take that home!

My husband and I use to be regulars in the 90’s … we were looking forward to our return.
Not as we remembered… the garlic bread was delicious!
Salad was dripping in to much dressing. The escarole soup was bean no mini meat balls. We ordered veal parm and I think instead of breadcrumbs it was salt crusted, veal was so salty it was hard to eat. Plate had water puddles were the spaghetti laid.
Our waitress was nice but more focused on her regulars than us who by the way came after us but were waited on before us.
I’ll stick to pizza if we go back…

They had the blinds down so It is a bit shaded so better for comfy cozy dining. I personally like a bit more light. Service is very friendly. Got a simple overstuffed hoagie, was very nicely made. Very quick turnover. Only thing I would said is maybe hollow out the bread to squeeze the filling in easier while holding and personally prefer more filling. Will be back to try their meatball sub or white pizza next time I’m around.

Went for Mother's day. Family 4 adult & 2 children. Shared 2 pizzas, one order of wings & salad. Made our own Family Affair. First time, all good and we will be back. Get there by 4:30 PM on Saturday as it got crowded with regulars.
