In NJ for a business seminar with coworkers. The service and food were excellent. We all said we would come back next time we are in town! Highly recommend!
The hostess was very unfriendly. There was a broken bottle of wine that spilled two tables away, spilled on me and she never checked our table for glass shards and did not alert the wait staff to our issue.
My family is very particular about their sushi and feel that Yokohama is consistently superior with providing fresh fish and sushi rolls. I usually get the hotpot and wished there was a little bit more seafood in it, but the overall taste is good. The staff is accommodating, professional and friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. This is a favorite spot for us.
We have been regulars at Yoko for decades, ever since it opened. This is our go-to for everything sushi and udon. Service is attentive and prompt. The food is outstanding. After a few local elsewhere experiences, we routinely return here for sushi, with one notable exception: the owners' son's place in Old City, Philly.
Absolutely NOT! NO HIBACHI CHEF?! Maybe the food is still cooked on a hibachi, but to an American diner, the chef experience is expected when making a reservation at a Hibachi grill. To have that in your name and in all your advertisements without the experience is false advertising to me. When we arrived we were told there was no chef and that they tried to call me, but the n'No chef' part was not in the message. I was called the day before mother's day. Where else was I going to get a reservation? Also, you kept the prices the same? Without the Chef experience, it's frankly not worth the price. There are so many better dining experiences in the area that without the performance element, this restaurant isn't worth the price tag. Also, you kept the same tables? Without the performance, it just felt like I was paying high dining experience to eat at a table with strangers. It felt awkward. The food was Luke warm to the table as well. The appetizers were not very good and the lobster was described by my family as not worthy of a bisque. I had the Filet and Scallops, which while they were lukewarm were fine. The staff were polite but very rushed. You could tell they were understaffed which is surprising for a busy holiday. All in all this was a disappointing experience. We didn't get sushi or cocktails, so it's possible we missed an excellent part of what they have to offer, but this was a miss for us.
We hadn't been in awhile but just as good as we remember - I love their sushi and sashimi and the ginger dressing on the salad is delicious. Love their ginger dressing on the salad. My husband had the chicken teriyaki and was raving about how good it was
Excellent as usual. Consistently one of best restaurants in the area and definitely the best Japanese restaurant.
This was our second date night dining here and it was awesome both times. The food the drink the service is a 10/10
Yokohama is consistently delicious and the food is always fresh. We enjoy sitting on the dining side, but have been on the hibachi side before. Since they don't have hibachi anymore, they should switch up the room to match the ambience of the dining side. My whole family loves eating there!
Not great on a Saturday night. Hibachi food was cooked in the kitchen, not table side, which should be a key feature of a hibachi restaurant. The food was lukewarm and not very flavorful. Dipping sauce for tempura had no flavor. Servers were running around very busy so the service was below average. Don't think we'll go back.

First thing that stood out when I walked in was their really cool setup with different ‘sections’ in the dining area which makes you feel like you’re at a pretty big restaurant with a perfect balance of privacy. The open kitchen and bar area also added to a really nice atmosphere. Then finally getting to the food it was simply great…every hibachi, sushi, other entree plate we tried was delicious. Nothing bad to say about this place - loved it and will be back :)

Wouldn’t return. They have way too many seats to serve. Sashimi was at best ok. An employee left the bathroom with only washing hands with water. Kani and Salmon Skin salads were good and so were the drinks.
