Recently checked out Joe’s Bagel and Grill in Robertsville, NJ—and honestly, I’m confused by all the hate. Yeah, I saw the reviews complaining about pricing, gluten-free “gouging,” and service, but that wasn’t our experience at all.

We tried the gluten-free options since my partner needs them, and everything was solid. Staff were super friendly—smiling, helpful, just genuinely nice people. I went back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, no issues either time. Food was great, service was fast, and the vibe was good.

Sure, like anyone, I’d love for life to be cheaper—but I actually think the pricing here is fair for the area and the quality. It’s a bagel shop, not a mortgage payment. People in these reviews need to chill.

I must have told the person behind the counter four times please no ketchup on my food.

They still managed screw up .... An egg and cheese salt, pepper and mayonnaise, I specifically said no ketchup and those sandwiches had a ton of ketchup on them which . I unfortunately paid and didn't hBe time for them to remake.
Very disappointed. Well I just noticed the 3.5 start reviews anyway

Last year I had an issue here didn’t come back. But today I said let me give them another chance. I wanted a dozen bagels. There was flies all over the bagels. I said to the lady there’s flies everywhere. She didn’t care. I said no thank you. I don’t think anyone wants any kind of flies on or in their food. She made it sound like it wasn’t a big deal. Well I went on Facebook and asked people. Everyone said find another bagel store. Really disgusting. Again no one wants fruit flies in their cream cheese or egg sandwich.

We have ordered Joe's a few times for work here at Holmdel Veterinary Clinic and we always love it. The food is so delicious. P.S- for those of you who complain about pricing. It is 2024 & if you think a sandwich is going to be less than $9... Well your delulu.

This is the worst location compared to the others . The lady at the front looked mad and upset a customer came in after 1 pm. I asked only for eggs and bacon and no potato’s and what did I get? Potato’s. Not with the money when they don’t listen nor care to serve you .

I love joes bagels, but the last few times I’ve tried to go it’s been closed. I understand that there was an accident, but it needs to be updated on google/joes bagel website that it is temporarily closed so that customers realize that before driving all the way there. I saw another review say the same thing and the owner replied very negatively. It’s not the owners fault that the accident happened obviously, but they are responsible for updating their business hours to reflect this. I’m disappointed in the way they have handled this.

Places is closed i dont know why they leave the store as “open” on here dont waste your time

Great local bagel/sandwich spot with amazing special breakfast creations. Hope they re-open soon after the car accident that occurred.
