Food was good but nothing to get excited about. Atmosphere was very nice and the service was excellent. In addition to the menu they had a separate special menu with the prices listed. The waiter announced a few additional specials, one of which was dover sole. Three of us ordered it and it was very small portion with a potato coquette and a few veggies. Nothing great but we ate it with no complaints. When the bill came - $59.95 each !!!.. Shame on me for not asking the price before ordering. When I questioned the waiter he said we should have been told the price. We definitely will not return.

When you get tired of fancy and prefer quality with a touch of class, visit Sam Vera. Driven past it a thousand times but this was our first visit. Excellent experience all around. Greeted and seated by the owner. Bread, a complimentary antipast and our martinis in short order, including the blue cheese olives we like so much. We ate simple - Caesar salad, zuppe di clams and almond crusted halibut. All were finely prepared and lightly seasoned so that the mild flavors in the fresh ingredients could be enjoyed. Even the accompanying veggies were delicious. Topped it all off with some espresso and ricotta cheesecake (the only REAL kind) which was also of high quality. Friendly and professional service by the bartender, waiter and bussers added to the experience.
We will be returning soon to try other dishes on the extensive menu and look forward to more seafood specials!

I want to state I have not eaten the food here so I cannot comment. But the staff and the atmosphere were awful. I work for a company that does centerpieces for events, and while there my coworker and myself(who are both African American) were disrespected. When trying to collect our tools and boxes we were pushed around and I myself had crumbs dusty on my head. When I confronted the staff member about the situation he ignored me and kept walking. This isn’t how any business should be ran and I have never experienced at any other venue I have set up for. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
