Found this place by pure coincidence and so glad I did. We went here for my birthday dinner and absolutely loved it. Staff is super friendly and professional. The ambiance, well it's an old church, so just picture that for moment, just lovely. The food was amazing and good portions as well. We will definitely be back.
Andy: A Salute hit every mark, food, service, and vibe all on point. I'll definitely be back soon with friends.
Great spot. A few of us stopped here while passing through Matawan on a road trip recently. We grabbed a few drinks and desserts in the main bar area. Food was great and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend if you’re passing through or live in the area.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner a A Salute. The atmosphere is awesome. Nice crowd ,wasn't noisy and the service was excellent. They limoncello lemondrop martini was absolutely outstanding and my husband loved the fact that there was Oktoberfest on tap. I highly recommend it. The manager came by our table to see it we were satisfied with everything. A very nice touch.
Great decor, great food, great service. The outdoor music could be a little more Italian restaurant genre.
I had the fig and goat cheese pizza, my wife had a steak salad and my mother had the parpadelle bolognese. The food was delicious, Daniela, our server was amazing and so were the other staff members. The atmosphere was so cool, being in an old church.

Stale bread , penne vodka that was more red than pink and 30 dollars for 2 small eggplant rollatinis , along with the LONGEST wait just for dinner probably an hr if not longer. Do not recommend.

All of our lunch choices were delicious and plentiful with the exception of the shrimp oreganata which was delicious but could have been more generous in the size of the portion (2 shrimps and spinach); delicious but looked more like an appetizer.

Such a warm cozy atmosphere with a lovely church like setting and all the apps and entrees were delicious.
The pork chop was excellent flavor. Arancini balls and calamari were delicious. Sauce for calamari was spicy but if you don't like spice tell them regular.
Food was good. Prices were high for portion sizes. $32 for four very thin pieces of eggplant parmigiana. The same for one chicken francaise cutlet.
