The bakery was chosen randomly after reviewing few bakeries in the area. I highly recommended the Abbate bakery for any occasion to everyone. Trust me you will never ever regret. The manager JEN was professional, listen to all the details customer is requesting. She will answer all of your questions no rush at all. Jen was helping with any suggestions. Highly reliable, punctual was kind to take a photo of the cake forwarded to your iPhone before delivering. The CAKE ARTIST / BAKER 100% high quality absolutely stunning flawless. Cake was moist delicious. The design logo element. Intricate piping, icing artistry, attention to detail it was a stunning masterpiece. The entire staff was happy and impressed. Grew up in Brooklyn eating delicious Italian pastries and cakes, and Abbate is one of the few bakeries that equal the taste and quality of those bakeries. Purchased an Italian cheesecake and Rum baba there last month and both were delicious. The Rum baba also had custard and was drenched with the flavored syrup. Service was very friendly.

Usually most things here are good. However, I ordered a 7” vanilla buttercream vanilla cake with cannoli and chocolate custard fillings. The whole cake was not good at all. I was embarrassed to serve it. The buttercream was almost bitter and had a bad taste. The cake and fillings were flavorless. For $32 it was a disappointment and half of it was trashed after 4 slices were not fully eaten.

When I arrived home from Italy, I asked them for a dessert that I had in Rome called Maritozzo they looked it up, had their baker make them, and called me to let me know...and they were delicious, exactly like in Rome!!! This bakery is above and beyond the BEST!!!! The pastries are SOOOOO good there and the staff are so thoughtful and accommodating ..take the time to go you will not be sorry!!!if I could give 10 stars I would!

Today I came in with my wife and my baby, the experience started when I started asking for cookies and pretzels. My wife was watching the child and didn't realize I ordered too much. She was told the total, upon hearing the total she asked to have some removed but the girl helping us gave her a really nasty attitude, dropped the box, and said "amazing". My wife is not a confrontational person so she paid for it anyway and left in tears because it's her birthday on January 1st. We were going to also get cake. But because of this nasty individual we now have to take our business elsewhere.
