Great local sub shop where you get a nice hearty sandwich for the money (CASH ONLY). Their portions put's the likes of Jersey Mike's to shame. Staff doesn't seem happy and not the friendliest, but hey, you can't have it all.

First time here was recommended by a friend. It’s in a plaza on rt 34. They do not take debit or credit cards Thank goodness we had cash on us. Service was quick and the subs were so Good!! We both ordered half subs. Too much to finish so we wrapped them up to go. They have tables to sit at and great selection of drinks and chips . We paid $23.00 for 2 subs 2 drinks and a bag of chips. We will return . Best value around.

Very good subs, they where closed and need to post store hours. I went there on sunday and where closed at 4:30. Other customers left too.
I am embarrassed I have been living in Matawan for 60 years I have had subs from everyplace that makes them. My son Rob came home the other day and said Dad I tried DA Subs. OMG what a pleasure the Italian sub was bursting with meat it was just perfect and the price was much less than other places. Sad news I bowled with Danny many year's ago and never bought a sub there I am really embarrassed. DA's is the absolute best. Thank you Danny. ?
