Walked in with my wife, curious to finally try this place. It looked nice enough, clean, smelled good, plenty of promise. The guy behind the counter (maybe the owner, maybe just someone who thinks he’s the owner) was in the middle of a long personal conversation.
I stood there, clearly waiting. After about thirty seconds, he glanced at me and said, “I’ll be right with you.” Reasonable enough. Except he wasn’t. He just kept talking, laughing, telling stories, anything except taking my order.
My wife sat down and waited. I gave it another thirty seconds, maybe more, thinking surely he’ll wrap it up. Nope. He never even looked my way again. It was like I’d gone invisible the moment I walked in.
Eventually I just said, “This is stupid,” and walked out. First time here, and definitely the last. There are too many places that actually want your business to waste time standing in one that doesn’t.

Absolutely one of the best donut shops I’ve ever experienced- from their delicious donuts to their great service! They have such a vast array of donuts, always 100% fresh and such a diverse menu. My wife has gluten intolerance and most donut shops either offer no gluten free option or very little, but their menu offers high quality and delicious GF options from Creme Brûlée to PV Cups to extra extra Chocolate options. I highly recommend Main Street Donuts to donut lovers!

Special ordered a dozen assorted donuts and they were a hit with my children and grandchildren. Everybody loved them. Also the owners are extra friendly and nice.
We frequently stop here on the way home to Highland Park from food shopping for some scrumptious donuts. Joe makes the eclairs filled to capacity, and we've tried a lot of the others. They all look so delicious.. and they are! We have never been disappointed. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely stop by!

They are delicious creative Artisan pastries. Creative and colorful and priced right. Take the time and visit this delightful shop on Main Street. You won't be disappointed.

These donuts are by far THE BEST I’ve ever had! After moving to Matawan earlier this year, I wanted to check out local businesses and support my community. The first place I went to was Main Street Donuts. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly there and the donuts are definitely made with love. The Key Lime and Limoncello donuts are to die for! I highly recommend Main Street Donuts if you’re looking for a little sweat treat.
