The food is very good, always fresh, and never oversalted. NO MSG here! The family who runs this establishment is very kind and accommodating if you alert them to food sensitivities or if you must adhere to a special diet. If you are gluten free your choices may be limited, but there are a good number of options. Extremely clean kitchen.

Been coming here since I was a kid and every time I come home to visit, No. 1 Chinese is a must!!!!! I've literally found no where else that can hold a candle to their steamed dumplings and the sauce that it comes with. Best food ever!

The best Chinese food in matawan and general area!! General Tso chicken is my favorite, but everything else I tried is very good with attention to detail and great people running it.
