Vegan Tree is a great hidden restaurant in Matawan that serves an assortment of Asian and American - style vegan dishes. I especially enjoyed the vegan ramen and pot stickers. It felt very healthy and I became full fast. When I forgot my takeout at the table, the guy was nice enough to go outside and hand it to me.
Vegetarian options: all vegan plant-based

We got the Summer Rolls, Happy Buddha, and the Vegan Tree Burger.
Summer Rolls were nice, Happy Buddha was really delicious, and the burger was fairly good. Overall, we really liked the food!! The fake meat was based in soy. Normally I'm not a fan, but I liked it in the Happy Buddha meal ?
FYI Restaurant is more of a takeout spot, not very nice seating for sit-in dinner.

Such a great spot!! I wish it was closer to me so I can have it more often but I still make the trip when I can anyways I’m always craving their “blt” wrap

This place is near and dear to my heart. The food is outstanding. Comforting and healthy and tasty. Checks all the boxes. It doesn’t get the foot traffic it deserves but it’s totally worth your time and money. The staff is so kind and cares so much.

I don’t know what crack they put in the Caesar salad but IT IS SO GOOD. I probably order it 1-2 times a week I am obsessed. The summer rolls are also superrrr yummy !

I had to go to Freehold and looked for somewhere to eat. I ordered the Philly cheese "steak" ,crispy rolls, and the mindful medley. All were excellent!! I told my husband (not vegan) about it, and he said he'd try it.
We brought my mother in law (not vegan) and ate inside. We ordered the scallion pancakes, Happy Buddha, Philly cheese(my dinner), and Linguine De Italia with the white sauce. We loved everything! My husband actually wants to go back and try everything on the menu!
The guy at the counter is very nice and accommodating to your needs.

Nice spin on vegan Asian-fusion. I ordered the Teriyaki Roll and Summer Rolls (this one comes with a dipping sauce). Good flavors and the summer rolls were so refreshing for this hot day!Service was quick and the people were friendly. I would order here again.Suggestions for the menu: I would love to see more gluten-free options for wraps and sandwiches.
Got the terakki sushi roll, it was ok and filling, place needed a cleanup

I used to live near this restaurant when it was a Loving Hut. They have been Began Tree for 6 years. The dish I had was delicious. Soy nuggets. Fired and served with stir fried vegetables and purple and white rice. I asked for medium heat and it was perfect. The ambiance leaves something to be desired but most of the business these days is takeout. The menu isn't extensive but it's all vegan which for a vegan means it has a larger menu than most. Featuring appetizers, soups sandwiches and entrees. About half a dozen choices in each category. Glad to see it's still here!
