Rickenbacker's has good coffee and the service is typically quick. They also have a decent selection of breakfast and lunch items. However, they do close around 1 pm, so if you're wanting for food or coffee later in the afternoon, you'll have to go elsewhere. (And you need base access to get there.)

What the hell? This location is usually pretty great. Today was the exception. Yesterday, I asked the employees for a simple addition to my drink. They were friendly and willing to accommodate. Fast forward to today. My coworker was getting drinks for us and returned empty handed because the employees today didn't know what he was talking about when he was ordering my drink. This was no big deal. I went myself and explained what I was asking for. Tell me why these two employees acted like I had screamed in their faces and demanded their firstborns? I'm not easily embarrassed, but they made the entire experience extremely uncomfortable. I have never seen such fear in someone's eyes and body language as I did when I made such a simple request. I understand I speak in an intimidating tone, but I was nothing but friendly to these two. Their reaction to me was absolutely uncalled for and unacceptable. Shame on them. I will not hesitate to walk right back out the door if I ever see either of these two employees again. Rickenbacker's, you're better than this.
