New York Chicken And Grill- Halal

This place is fantastic. The halal food is always excellent and I've had multiple people beg me to go back the next time they come to town. The desserts are solid and hit the spot. Sometimes the wait is a little long but it's worth it.

So one night they were in the mood for some fried chicken & they found this place. It was our first time there & I must say, it won't be our last. I believe the gentleman behind the counter was the owner but not quite sure, but whomever he was, he was a great representative of the place. We ended up getting a few hot wings, a box of chicken, corn on the cob & fries & I was actually shocked at how good they were.

Food was delicious, got two chicken platter and some falafel balls x the sauces add such a good flavor to everything. I person who took our order was very attentive and guided us through the menu since we told him it was our first time. He promised we wouldn’t be disappointed and he was not wrong. I also got a sweet potato pie and he warmed it up so it was extra delicious 😋

This was unexpectedly good. I didn't have any expectations ordering from this place, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered mixed gyro over rice (chicken + beef). The beef gyro tastes exactly like how the original Halal Guys used to taste in New York. And the hot sauce is actually properly spicy. I could not think of any shortcoming. This was, tasty, filling, and was appropriately priced. This is now my Go-to gyro spot.

This place has the best fried chicken and platters in all of North America. I came all the way from Toronto, Ontario Canada to visit New York City. One thing about Canada compared to the states is the quality of food. Everything that I have had in the states is not good quality, but this place has proved me wrong. I ordered the family fried chicken meal which was only $27 and it had a lot more quantity then I was expecting. The fried chicken was the best fried chicken I have ever tasted in my life. It was tender and juicy from the inside and very crispy from the outside. Coming from a city where Popeyes and KFC are Halal, this place tastes way better and satisfies you more with the affordable prices. I also tried one of the platters and they are way better than the ones you can buy on the streets of NYC. The staff was really friendly and I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family. One thing that I would suggest is opening up a location in Toronto because this place would be a big hit.

Was looking for a local halal restaurant without having to go far and I think I found my new spot. Ordered the mixed over rice platter and the 5 piece chicken jumbo box for pickup. The rice platter was packed with flavor and the fried chicken was crispy yet the meat was still juicy. Price is fair for the amount of food you get. I had to wait a bit extra than the estimated pickup time but I didn’t mind waiting and the staff was nice. The restaurant is small with only a few tables and chairs. Overall a great first time experience and I plan on coming back to try other items on the menu.

Parking: The restaurant shares a free parking lot with another business and it has minimal parking spaces.
