Skip all of the chain fast food spots on highway 537 and head to Hot Shot Subs! Huge menu with quality foods. We stopped on a whim for lunch in between visiting the drive thru safari and going to SixFlags. We were in and out within 30 min.I had a toasted turkey sub and it was delicious - can't go wrong when they use all Boar's Head meats and cheeses! Husband had a steak and cheese and said it was great. My older kids each devoured a chicken parm sub. My little one had the kids macaroni and cheese meal - came with a juice box and apple sauce - perfect!The owner is a retired local fire chief, and I love supporting our first responders whenever given the chance. Just another reason to come here!

Upon walking in, my husband and I were greeted by the owner who was so nice! The menu is extensive and has so many options, especially lots of vegetarian options as well. We called in our order which was ready when we arrived! Lots of space to sit and eat with a great atmosphere that is ADA accessible with a ramp entry/exit, a drive-thru window, and accessible seating which I love to see in restaurants. The food was excellent and the “everyday special” is a huge reason that my husband and I will make this our go-to spot anytime we are in the area from now on without a doubt!!! Not only that, but everyone was so nice and the owner was so passionate about his business. Also on doordash and grubhub. Great place, great food, and great people, what else can you ask for?

What a great place to patronize the local shop owners! I've had their Italian sub as well as their Hot Gobbler. Their use of fresh ingredients and homemade stuffing make their subs a tasty meal. The owner and staff are so friendly and accommodating. Definately a place to stop!

stopped by the food truck at the New Egypt Flea Market event on Sunday! being a super picky eater especially with sandwiches I will say I was extremely happy with my Italian sub! great quality meat, fresh lettuce and tomato and the bread amazing! prices are great! the owners are super friendly with a smile and great service! can't wait until I can try some of the other items I was contemplating!

Girlfriend and I stopped in to place an order for pick up. The owner came out and chatted us up. Super personable and great customer service. They are contracted with boars head and only use boars head meats.Love that it’s family owned. In times like these, it’s more important then ever to shop local. Both our subs were fantastic. This past Friday was the first time going to Hot Shot Subs. The cashier who took my order was very polite. I wished she could've followed up on my second order as that took a while to come out, but anyway here is my experience at Hot Shot Subs. I placed two orders. My first order was 2 salads with romaine lettuce and a firehouse hot dog. This order was prepared fairly quick however when I got home I noticed they give me Iceberg lettuce. That was ok because the salad looked very nice and fresh. My second order was an Italian hotdog. This order took over 20 minutes maybe longer but I'm uncertain. I'm not sure what took so long but I did patiently wait for it. I thought perhaps they ran out of hotdogs. I was so tired just coming off from work. There was an older gentleman that worked behind the counter that noticed I was still there waiting for my 2nd order. Initially I figured no one cared until I overheard him mention that fact to the food preparer. I thought to myself that was nice of him. Not long after the 2nd order was made. A young man who gave me my 2nd order apologized for the long wait, that was also nice of him as well. I ride past this place everyday during my two and a half hour drive home from work. I hear first impressions are lasting impressions so at first I definitely was not going back, but the apologies seemed sincere so now I'm not sure (maybe I'll go back). Hope this review was helpful. After hearing good thing's about this place for a year or 2, took a ride with Kit Dwight for a nice lunch.Kit had half of The "NEW" CITY SUB which was turkey, swiss, coleslaw and Russian Dressing and toasted.She said it was delicious, but could of had a little more dressing that she will ask for the next time.I had the half of #34 The Hot Shot Super Combo, which had turkey, roast beef, ham, pastrami, pepperoni and swiss cheese.It was topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, Mayo, red wine vinegar and SPO.The sandwiches were huge for a half, very tasty and ended up taking the other half of my half home, as did Kit!!!We also had a order of french fries with brown gravy that complimented the meal well.

Food was really good! My husband's sub was HUGE and meat was really good quality. My sons loved their burger/fries & chicken tenders/fries and my cheesesteak was awesome. Cheesesteak & fries both had whiz...so so good! Can't wait to have it again.
