This place has been around for at least 20 years and they make fantastic lunch and dinner food. I wonder what happened to their regular Google maps listing…

My favorite Jewish deli in New Jersey. I’ve been coming here for years and the people who work here are like family. Today for the first time I tried to sloppy Joe sandwich it was awesome. I also highly recommend the brisket knish, smoked whitefish salad and the pastrami!.

The food is always good..fresh and delicious..potato salad cole slaw pickles. All of these sides are as delicious as the main ...I have had the pastrami and the corned beef. I was dismayed to read some whiney negative reviews. This place is wonderful. It reminds me of Hy Tulip on 18th Ave near 20th in Bensonhurst Brooklyn.... dare I say Lox Stock is a-scoch better

First time trying the bagel from this establishment. Got a toasted scooped sesame bagel with fresh lox and cream cheese scallion and did not meet my expectations especially for $17. The bagel was not scooped or didn’t seemed toasted at all. The bagel it self was 3 out 10 and had thick dough. Also the staff did had an attitude.

As bad as it get when treating me as a customer. On May 20, 2023 the lady at the counter was rude and that was putting it mildly. She glared at me when I walked in from asking about a to go order. She printed out a receipt for the already overpriced food and it came out not printed with no price. I asked her for a new one and garbed mine out of my hand and glared at me so I asked her again and printed it out saying here and took it crumbled it up and threw it in my bag. I have been coming there a long tome and for sure I will never return. I have children and grandchildren in East Brunswick and have already told them what happen and the overpriced food. I have been in my own business for over 50 Years and am proud to say no matter what you never treat a customer this way. I just hope this person was not one of the owners, shame on her shame.

Our family has patronized this place since it originally opened. We gave them a lot of business during my mother's hospice and shiva last winter. However, they mismanaged bills and gift cards, and overcharged for meals, including charging for items that were never included. When I tried to get a refund based on an act of kindness on my part, not requiring the overextended cashier to use the gift card but to get reimbursed later, I was accused of stealing when they repeatedly refunded the wrong card, not mine. The manager made me bring in bank statements (from 2+ hours away) to prove I hadn't received the refund, and when I did, she accused me of falsifying them. I even showed her my current bank statement on my phone; the manager there didn't understand how they work and again, accused me of fraud, despite the owner having confirmed they had been refunding the wrong card. Finally the owner put a stop to this inhumane treatment of a newly bereaved customer and refunded the money herself. While I was dealing with this, an elderly couple came in on a Sunday afternoon to get food. They had traveled a long way for this. The dining room was closed -- on a Sunday afternoon, formerly one of the busiest times! -- and the manager refused to let the elderly man, who was in pain, sit on a chair while waiting. Utterly inhumane. This is not to mention how they turned the decor into a sterile, hospital-feeling space, obviously trying to be more modern. It has backfired for the crowd that looks for kosher food, who appreciate a comfortable and heimish space.I strongly recommend they get new management, because the disorganization and unfriendliness are only going to make the situation worse and worse. Catering seems to be doing okay, so they may need to just shut down the restaurant part and focus on that. It's a shame, it was wonderful to have a kosher restaurant so close for so many years. If they turn things around, I will update and improve the rating. They do get a second star for good food.

Utter disappointment. I have been a customer at LS&D for more than 30 years and enjoyed your excellent food and wonderful service up until today, Sunday, April 23rd, 2023. Upon entering your restaurant I noticed your new renovation was indicative of the bad service and inferior quality. cuisine. I might as well have been in Guantanamo Bay Detention Center. Good luck! You will need it however, lots of parking was available and now it is clear as to why. Next stop PICKLED HERRING here I come.

This was a horrible experience today. I ordered a Lamb Pita, which was described as a “skewered lamb with eggplant, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce”. What I got was ground lamb swimming in grease tossed into a pita with a ton of red onions, lettuce and tomatoes. NO eggplant, NO peppers, NO tzatziki. When I brought up the issues to the waitress, she was rude, and extremely difficult to deal with. I came to find out that she had been there for quite some time, and should have told me that the description was different from what they actually make. A most unpleasant experience! I should have known when I walked in to an empty restaurant… now I can confirm why. Don’t waste your time or bother. There are other places to go!Dear OwnerYour wait staff was not to be found to let her know. I was famished by the time food arrived. I did not touch the slaw, and ate 4 forks full of the marinated vegetable in the small bowl. I separated the raw onions from the greasy ground lamb. I only ate half of the pita… because I was hungry and all of the ground lamb fell out of it. I have no reason to not tell the truth. It’s unfortunate that your waitress isn’t telling you the truth. I was actually looking forward to coming to your restaurant as I had previously purchased many gift cards for others from you. As a business owner myself, I would have been on the premises. If you couldn’t be, you should have availed yourself for a conversation, but alas, you had instructed your staff not to allow us to talk directly to you. Bad decision. You decided to give us a half price discount on my meal. Pitiful. If the waiter cared an iota, she would have checked in much sooner and I would have ordered something else. No one likes to eat alone… and the other 5 individuals who were with me shouldn’t have been subjected to such terrible service and bad business practice. I will bet that your establishment will go under verrrrry soon.

We bought our Passover food here. My guests loved it. We had stuffed Capons, brisket, an amazing vegetable kugel, a matzoh balls the size of a softball. The owner put forth a special effort to make sure our order was completed correctly, personally checking it item by item.

Dietary restrictions: Strictly Kosher for Passover!

I have been going here about 15 years but not that often. I bought 2 corned beef sandwiches ($19ea.) last week and almost unedible, very chewy and fatty. I guess they made money on me but to what end? I will never go there again. I went there for a good sandwich and got very poor quality of corned beef.

Parking: OK to park there

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE. Cool name, that's it. You get pickles while you wait so you'd think you'd get water refilled once in a 40 minute visit, but no. Prices indicate you get New York style portions and flavor, which you absolutely don't. Dry pastrami, the brisket is literally roast beef, and the amount of lox you get is totally misaligned with the undeserving premium they charge. I am sad I wasted a meal here. Do yourself a favor and go to Netcost. If you'd had anything like Katz's this will motivate you to go back to the city. For some reason it was packed which is more indicative of the the area than anything else - this deli seems to be holding everyone hostage, so I hope they pull it together.

Food was still good. Service on the other hand sucked spend ten minutes sitting in the dining room waiting for a waitress . No menu no water not even a hello. Plus who ever Designed the new dining room had no idea what to do. It was very cold and not enjoyable to sit in.

I'd give 0 but that option wasn't offered. I had motza ball soup and a turkey sandwich delivered. First off they should have been charged with robbery. The money they charged for that slop they delivered. The absolute worst, I repeat worst soup I've ever had.So i decided to stop there thos morning to get a hot corned beef and swiss. They guy behind the counter is like no we're Kosher. Thanks I'll go someplace else with better quality, flavor and service. That's a big NO from me!

I am going to give this place a 5 star rating and this review is long overdue. I had the pleasure of coming here for a late lunch yesterday and I am floored. I’m a former New Yorker and deeply miss the corned beef and pastrami sandwiches I use to get from Katz deli, until I came to Lox stock and Deli !!There was a young man who immediately took my order and made one of the best sandwiches I have had in years… the corned beef was perfectly cooked and very moist but not runny. There was a perfect balance of Cole slaw and horseradish sauce to accommodate every single bite. THIS IS THE ONLY place in Jersey in my area that I know makes these style sandwiches and now they have a lifer. Thank you to the staff for the prompt and effecient customer service. A huge debt of gratitude is owed to the young fella who made my sandwich and gave me a great overall experience.
