Lady at the front desk didn't want to do her job. After waiting over 2 hrs for toilet paper came to the front desk and waited for no one... heard constant laughing yell hello she stated I'm there but yet couldn't bring the tissue two hrs prior. Do your job!
This hotel has Cockroaches pictures attached. Detailed explanation below but the manager in a roundabout way accused me of faking the pictures and wanted an apology from me for contacting the Health Department before she would authorize a refund. Oh, this is all recorded so the hotel cannot deny it! I booked two rooms for my two, Mid 80s Aunts and Uncles to visit my mom at a near by Assisted Living Facility in Princeton. The hotel was very accommodating in getting us two rooms next to each other on the 1st floor. That was the end of the praise for this hotel ends. I received a call from My Aunt very early in the morning that they were up since 4am when she was woke by a bug crawling on her face. She got up, turned on the light to see cockroaches all over her bed and the walls. They of course woke up my other family members to warn them. Needless to say that was the end of sleeping for these 4 elderly people. I called the hotel at 8:30 am hoping to speak to a manager but was told by the front desk housekeeping would check the room and a manager would call. I also emailed them pictures and a video of the cockroaches around the room at that time. I waited for a call until 12 noon but no call from a manager. You would think a situation like this would be a priority. At this point I contacted the South Brunswick Health department and put in a report, of course, provided them with the pictures and video also. I waited another day to hear from the hotel, but nothing. At this point I contacted Expedia who I booked the room through to inform them of the situation, they said they were going to reach out to the hotel and put in a request for a refund. Expedia put me on hold for a few minutes to contact the hotel. The representative came back and said the hotel declined my request! I asked them to conference a call with the hotel and me which they did. With Exepedia on the phone (which was recorded) I spoke to the hotel manager who said they checked the room (During the day, we all know Cockroaches are not out in the day) and found none. I asked her if she was the pictures and videos I emailed. She said, “ I did and they look like pictures that I have seen from other hotels that were fake.” I pointed out the decor is clearly their room and the video shows the cockroaches crawling on their bed. She responded with the same. She then went on to say, “I am not giving you a credit because you called the health department on us, UNTIL you apologize you will not get a refund!!!!” In my mind I couldn’t believe she just said that I need to apologize for reporting their hotel for having cockroaches, basically blackmailing me! This was not about the money, this was about the hotel taking responsibility, apologizing, and doing the right thing. This hotel handled the situation so very wrong! I should have received a call immediately. The hotel should have understood the situation, called in a pest control company, let me know they were doing that and would have it remediated, and apologized. Instead, they call me a liar and blackmail me. The bottom line this is not the type of hotel you want to stay in.
We booked 1 month ago for 2 nights this week and we just arrived after 10h of road and it seems there is no room for our family with 3 little kids i can just tell you at almost moon it’s a very bad nightmare. The guy in the front desk doesn’t apologize, he said that our credit card didn’t work at 3 when they try to confirm our reservation but it’s not true our credit worked all day and till the time we wait on the front desk it was the same problem for 10 other couples. Don’t waste your time and money!!!!
The rooms are very nice and roomy but you can tell right off that no one has any idea what they are doing. We were lied to twice from front desk, like bold face lies! We were in a suite that slept 8 and we had 7 people. They refused to give us more than 4 washcloths and towels because people will steal them. This has been the worst service we have ever received. Very frustrating. I just have to remind myself to take deep breaths and not get upset. I will let management know how I feel when I leave, but I have a feeling it won’t do any good because I truly believe that it is from the management down because no one is friendly and no one is accommodating. Oh well, it was clean and big enough for our family even though I have had to use my kids already used washcloths to try and get myself clean. Haha. Rant over.
Sonesta has built a lovely place and I enjoyed my stay tremendously, even though there was mould on the breakfast sandwiches and the sofa was hardly a sofa any more. Sympathetic staff and relaxed atmosphere! Would certainly return when visiting Princeton again…
The room had a musty basement smell that I had to go out and buy candles and air freshener to mask the smell. There is NO housekeeping service, unless you book "full service" but when I booked online I didn't have that option. Since I didn't have "full" service anyway it didn't matter that they give the day off to housekeeping on Christmas, but if I had it I would have been mad. This is a hospitality industry, a 365 business and guests expect that. It is bad enough having to stay in a hotel for a holiday like Christmas but the WORSE the "breakfast". It was SHAMEFUL! It was a paper bag with a bottle of water, small chocolate muffin and even smaller granola bar. Included are pictures of the disgraceful breakfast they provided. There are microwaves that have signs about breakfast sandwiches, a canister for muffins, bagels, etc ... that was empty and toasters. Several day old bananas that were spotted and with the peels broken open. Condiments for the non existing bagels, muffins etc The nights were cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.
Pathetic Grab and go breakfast.Where u will find one muffin , breakfast bar and water .It’s been 4 days it’s the same breakfast .For bath Towels during day time they didn’t provide .You just have to wait for 2-3 hours or so .Two people cannot take shower at the same time water runs out.Terrible internet connection .Never coming here again
We stayed here for a long weekend while visiting another family member. Our experience was nothing short of amazing. Our King Loft Suites were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was peaceful. The property was well maintained. We were very impressed. The staff members were professional, friendly and attentive to all of our needs. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
I was very impressed with my room upon entering. It was neat and clean, well dusted and vacuumed. The room is an excellent size it contained two double beds it's own little living room and a kitchen with a table and two chairs. The bathroom was a sufficient size with plenty of counter room for all my stuff. Water pressure was excellent and plenty of hot water. My parents were staying in an another suite at the same hotel but unfortunately they were told there were no available suites near the one I was staying in. Curious as the suite across the hall from me was not occupied all weekend and they could have stayed there. When my parents arrived the he did not work in their suite but after talking to the receptionist she gave them another suite to stay in. We stayed three nights and each night it was quite in our room and we never had any other patrons in the hotel disturb us by slamming doors or noise. This was the quietest hotel I had ever slept in I would have given this hotel five stars except for The lack of housekeeping services. We never had our towels exchanged nor the garbage taken out or the rooms, bed made, etc.. In fact no one from housekeeping ever entered our suites while we were staying here for three nights. The only other disappointment we experience was the advertisement of breakfast being included with our hotel fee. Breakfast actually consisted of a cup of coffee a bottle of water a small granola bar and a very small muffin. I feel the hotel could have done a much better job providing breakfast than what they are currently offering.
Great place! clean, quiet, hospitable. Great for a long term stay, making a transition or enjoying the beautiful Middlesex County area! I have been here 6 months, and would definitely consider staying at their other properties as well...

The next morning some random guy from staff opened our door at 9:00am trying to get us to check out before it was even time to. We were literally still in bed when the guy opened the door. It was very uncomfortable for me
Had a wonderful stay, Spacious , clean, fully stocked, great breakfast and I cant wait to plan another weekend getaway at this location again. The manager Michael was courteous and professional and I want to applaud him for it.
