I was illegally denied access due to my service dog, by the owner.
I was excited to come here because I heard good things about the drinks and that the property was beautiful. However, before I was able to walk in, I was stopped by the owner informing me about the no pet policy. I informed him that she was a service dog and he asked for paperwork as proof. For anyone that does not have much knowledge on service dogs, there is no registry or certification. There only 2 questions businesses are allowed to ask 1) if its a service animial and 2) what work the animal is trained for. The owner became argumentative and rude insisting that I had to have “ADA papers”. He sarcastically asked what kind of service dog she was. When I informed him that she was a PTSD service dog, he tried to say that PTSD was not an ADA recognized disability for a service dog. I had to walk away due to feeling an oncoming panic attack due to this interaction. Once I was calmed I returned where I spoke with the owner again in a much calmer manner to clear up the misinformation. He gave me the business email, told me to email him and that he would speak to his attorney. He offered that if his information was incorrect, he would personally invite me back and pay for my first drink. It has been almost 2 weeks since this interaction and I still have not received any communication from him despite me sending multiple emails including proof and the link to the official ADA website that clearly states the law. I have been polite and patient despite this bad interaction. I have held off on reporting the business or leaving a bad review, but the lack of respect and professionalism from the owner himself has left me extremely frustrated. My next step will be reporting this business to the NJ Divison of Civil Rights.
This is one of the most beautiful properties in South Jersey, with a farm distillery, operated by a family. Thank you for having live music.
Beautiful distillery with a variety of liquor for sale including rum, vodka and whiskey. We've been visiting here for years and love the drink specials that they create. They have a beautiful barn that can be used for special occasions or events. They often invite the Hands Down BBQ food truck to serve delicious bbq to customers. There's a small restroom trailer on the premise and plenty of seating indoors and out. There's even a fire pit to enjoy a fire on a nice evening. You must be 21 and older to be on the premises.
Adorable atmosphere! Great drinks! Must try!
Great atmosphere and great spirits! Can't recommend this place enough!
Cute venue, however they are lacking in customer service. Would not recommend.
The distillery is nothing but class in every sense of the word. It’s an awesome environment that can’t be compared to any other. If you haven’t been you must. See you on the other side.

Cute hometown distillery that is inviting to all types of people young and older. Delicious spirits and great ambiance with a live singer when we went. Outside or open air barn with ample seating. Prices fair. Nice date place; local.
Great drinks and atmosphere! Amazing live music!

What a great atmosphere ? love this place
Very nice owners and great tasting spirits ! Go see them !
If you are looking for an out of the way, scenic kind of place....this is the place. The grounds are well kept. The buildings are well kept, and immaculate. It is obvious that Pine Tavern Distillery is a labor of love (and justifiable pride). The owner (and his son) are friendly, customer focused and knowledgeable. They spoke with some detail of how recipes are sent to KY distillers for distillation, and finished batches shipped back. It really is an interesting business. I will be coming back again this summer for sure.Ok, but what about product, right? :-)I recommend a bottle of the rye whiskey at 45 bucks. This is a no-brainer. It has a little bite upfront, but then smooths out into a pleasant aftertaste. Very smooth. The bourbon is ok. I happen to enjoy a good bourbon now and again. The bourbon was good, but I was not motivated enough to snap it up on the spot.If you have a party you need to book, they do that as well. Pretty nice place for it. Check it out for yourself. It is definitely worth the trip.
the place itself has a lot of potential to be nice but the owner really ruins it. The only source of heat in the main room is a tiny fire place and the owner refused to turn the thermostat up past 65 degrees F when it was -7 degrees F outside. He was very pushy in taking away trash and would not allow parties to sit together if any of his tables had to be moved around. Its clear the owner cares more about saving money than ensuring a good experience for his guests, I would not recommend going here under current ownership.
