This was hands down some of the BEST sushi I've ever had! The staff are very attentive and the gentleman making my sushi was very fast with making my meal and even offered me a little tiny bit of seared tuna since I was sitting at the sushi bar. After eating the one lady gave me half an orange for dessert which was a really nice gesture. Everyone was really nice and if I lived closer I would be there all the time!!

Gen Sushi and Hibachi is renowned for its exceptional culinary experience, boasting a menu that excels in delivering delectable delights. The restaurant's mastery in crafting rice dishes is unparalleled, with each grain perfectly cooked to achieve a delightful texture. The noodles, a testament to their culinary expertise, are a savory sensation that delights the palate with every bite. Additionally, the steak offerings showcase a commitment to quality, perfectly seared to achieve a mouthwatering tenderness. While the food undoubtedly stands out, the only drawback lies in the pricing, as the overall experience can lean towards the higher end. Nevertheless, for those seeking a gastronomic adventure, Gen Sushi and Hibachi remains a top destination.

Awful service, food made everyone sick. Chicken was incredibly undercooked ever though pickup was 40 minutes late. Unfriendly and overall terrible experience. PLEASE do not order from here.

The presentation of food was a 4.5/5 I think they presented the food well and was a similar presentation to other sushi restaurants I've been to. The quality of their food was low compared to the price of their food. I got a miso soup, house salad and a California roll. Miso soup and California roll were $1-$3 extra than they are at other sushi restaurants around the area. The place originally caught me off guard when I first walked in because it immediately smelt like a porta potty. Trying to ignore that, the ambiance was cute, cozy and has a casual vibe. The food was fine but I wasn't too crazy about it the miso soup came out warm, and the ginger dressing gave the salad a good kick. California roll didn't seem as fresh as I intended it to be. The service was great and we got our food very fast! No reservations on a Monday around 6:30pm. Overall 3/5 I think I've caught this restaurant on an off day but can definitely see the potential.

Came here to celebrate my partner's sisters birthday. There was plenty of seating around 7:45pm. Service was prompt on a Friday night, especially since my partner's mom was able to converse in Mandarin with the waiters. We ordered two "rice less" rolls which was delicious and rich in flavor -- the Hudson River roll and the passion city roll. I loved that they didn't even need soy sauce or ginger. They were good with the sauce provided! Since we were celebrating, we got the love boat which had California rolls, eel special rolls, nigiri, and sashimi (chef's choice). It came with tuna, salmon, white tuna, and yellow tail as the choice of fish. The fish had super thick cuts and were very fresh from the counter. I love the sashimi with a squeeze of lemon and with soy sauce and wasabi. They even surprised us with a little birthday sparkler on top of a strawberry mochi cut up for the table. The mochi needed a little more time to thaw out but it's ok, it's the thought that counts. Overall, a great place if you're looking for sushi. If you are carb conscious, they've got you covered!! Though I didn't get to try it tonight, I'd try their rainbow Naruto roll next time which is tuna, yellow tail, and salmon sashimi wrapped in a thin cucumber wrap -- had it before elsewhere and it's delicious!

I had a wonderful eating experience at Gen Sushi & Hibachi . The atmosphere and employees were welcoming from the moment I came in. The sushi was a work of art; it was superbly fresh and expertly made. The menu had a wide range of choices, including both classic favorites and cutting-edge inventions. The presentation was flawless, and each dish was an explosion of flavor. The focus on detail and the superiority of the components really stood out. I was impressed and satisfied when I left. If you enjoy sushi, Gen Sushi & Hibachi is a must-go location that ensures a wonderful experience.
