The food was good. The hot chocolate was not good and certainly not worth paying $5. I don't recommend getting the hot chocolate. The atmosphere is loud and crowded on Sunday mornings.
Kid-friendliness: The inside is small and can be crowded.

Interesting small brunch spot. Plenty of outdoor seating available by the street. Prices are a bit steep, the seating indoors was cramped, drafty and loud (had to shout to the waiter, and we still got the wrong order). Keep your coat on in the winter, you won't stay warm otherwise.

We wanted to sit inside and it took almost an hour to get seated inside. Then it took over an hour to get our meal. When they served us our meal they forgot our side of bacon and the server said she would be right back with the whipped cream for the pancakes and never dropped it off. The food was decent, but not worth waiting for almost 2 hours.
It is always busy when we visit, but the wait is worth it. The staff is on point, engaging and always hustling. The food is excellent.
The breakfast potato’s were horrible.they were soaked with grease and literally wet

such a lovely spot..awesome food...their pancakes, french toasts, omlettes are SOOOOOOO Good! Good quality and more than anything they are reasonably priced,,,I see many reviews that says service is slow..well...it takes 10-15 minutes and that is because they fresh cook..if they took 2 minutes then it is as good as the fast food joints and we don't want that..do we?

We've been going here semi-frequently for the past 4 years. The food is consistently fantastic. Unfortunately, it takes an exorbitant amount of time for it to arrive at your table after ordering. We're talking anywhere between 45 to 90 minutes. This has been the case everytime we've visited and is the only reason why we don't eat there more often.

Do not make the mistake of coming here for Sunday brunch. Unless you want to waste the majority of your morning waiting for your meal. The longest I think I’ve ever waited for food. Even the wait for my coffee took forever. Waiter brought me iced coffee by mistake. Then brought me a hot coffee with no sugar caddy.. then I gave up waiting and got up and got my own spoon. It’s a shame because I am all about supporting small businesses but the wait was absolutely ridiculous. Considered just getting up and leaving that’s how bad it was. The waiter had no soft skills. No apologies or empathy or acknowledgment of the amount of waiting. I think the issue is the kitchen is very small, and can’t keep up with how many guests are getting sat. At the end the server disappeared and some other lady dropped off the check saying “your server is busy”….. all of this equals poor management. I don’t think a manager was there!? Because if there was one you’d think they’d be going around checking on tables.
I will say the kitchen was hustling the entire time and busting their butts trying to keep up with the orders.

Sitting outside was nice. Did not enjoy our breakfast. Omelette and potatoes were covered in too much butter or ghee and the rye toast had no butter.
The pancakes and French toast may be better.

The first time my mom and I visited the Cubby Hole, we had a nice experience. I don't really remember the food, but my mom's coffee was made to perfection.
Today, I was really put off by the hostess. Despite the line of people waiting, she ran around wiping down tables without excusing herself or even looking at the line of people patiently waiting. When she returned, there was no greeting. She looked annoyed and stressed out. She seems quite young and inexperienced, but I'm surprised she wasn't trained to be welcoming considering her position as hostess. With the multitude of dining options, why would anyone choose to go somewhere you feel unwanted from the onset? I'll go to Turning Point instead where the service is far superior.
