Visiting Philadelphia for a few days and have in-laws who live near Pie Lady and are frequent patrons. We visited on a Sunday morning, so it was busy, but we were eventually seated at an outdoor table. It was a chilly morning, and we noticed heaters off to the side of the building; it would have been lovely to have those going for comfort. Our service was slow, but the food was very delicious. I have a picky 6 year old, and he loved everything he ordered. Also, the best cup of hot chocolate I've ever had!
The restaurant and the bakery are connected by the entry way but are two separate rooms. Scones get an asterisk for being from the bakery, but we really liked them, absolutely delicious. We got blueberry lemon and butterscotch. I thought the blueberry lemon didn't need the glaze
The red eye breakfast sandwich was lovely but very messy
Pancake has an ok flavor but they're pretty thin and have lots of holes
Coffee was super super bitter. They serve your milk on the side
Bought a few quiches there supposed to be vegetable it was just so overloaded with cheese there was 80% cheese, no egg and hardly any vegetables They should’ve called it a cheese quiche with no egg and minimal vegetable

My food for takeout was eh but it was very good when I dined in. I ordered a Mediterranean omelet and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were soggy because of the liquid from the omelet and barely done. I had to put them in the air dryer after drying them off with napkin. The omelet was not flavorful. Sadly I had to wait 20 minutes beyond the time they said my food would be ready. I was very disappointed in my meal.

Took home peach pie slice and blueberry one. Best pies ever. Breakfast was great. Service great even though they were busy. Outdoor seating wonderful and this was my first time but I plan to return ASAP!!

The food here is excellent, with great flavors and a limited menu. The ambience is equally impressive. However, the wait time for dishes was quite long, which really tested our patience. Additionally, the lack of a coffee menu was disappointing. Overall, a mixed experience.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars because they have a great potential, but how can you explain to me that we waited AN HOUR for 3 pancakes and a yogurt with granola??? Terrible service, not from our waiter (because he was actually very nice and really sorry and embarrassed) but from the kitchen and their staff! We didn’t asked for anything crazy, and if you’re behind with the food you should at least let the customer know in advance that it’s going to take an hour. And please, update that terrible paper-menu where you don’t even have the coffees that you offer.
