Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Every beer was top notch and extra points for having a freakin Grissette, super special. It was farmhousey and wild, loved it. Special shout out to Steve, a legend of a beertender! Will definitely be back as travel allows.
Great beer and an impressive space!
Bartender was helpful and cool, and wanted to make sure we found something we'd love. Music on the weekends and an outdoor area to sit on a nice night . I really liked this place. One thing I would change is to get rid of the QR compliance codes, It's an impersonal feature within an intimate space.
The bathroom had paper towels which was nice, because a lot of people are cheaping out now and calling it green.
Great place. Bartenders were so friendly and helpful. Garden Eyes was awesome. Very well done interior.
This beer bumps ugly
Really great beers in a great setting. Highly recommend for Dads night out or just a fun place to unwind with friends

Great beer, atmosphere, and we love vinyl night!
Another fantastic beer, Thetawaves might be my new Autodidact favorite!
I rarely post reviews, however I felt that Autodidact really earned this one. The place was fairly busy, but we were greeted right away and made to feel welcome. We have been to over one hundred different breweries and many do most of their beers well. We tried four different styles and all of them were spot on. The horse with no name and the Treefingers Saison were outstanding. We’ll worth the visit.
Quality beer

Two stars only because the beer is fantastic! Otherwise, one star. Cool vibes with good music too. Unfortunately if you’re popping in for a beer the service is terrible. Rude and inattentive service with a bad attitude. No hello, no smiles, no eye contact, no thank you when paying. Sat down at an empty bar and three bartenders passed without any acknowledgment. There were 4 people in the entire place—not like it was slammed. I have immense respect for bartenders so it’s tough writing a bad review. Seems like they don’t want to sell their product. Great beer, but the staff desperately needs training. They were talking to each other the whole time. Cursing and gossiping about their own lives and complaining about their coworkers in front of customers. That’s fine, we all vent, but make sure you’re serving your customers at the same time. They desperately need sales help. I might suggest a meeting to get everyone on the same page. Will not be back. Try Fort Nonsense a few miles up the road.
The best brewery in Jersey! The beers are consistently awesome and every bartender is lovely. It's our favorite place!
Best beer within 50 miles. Love coming here, always the most delicious beers and the bartenders are always great.
Loved this brewery! Excellent tasting beers, beautiful vibe, and really cool beertenders that were fun to talk to. I had the White Shorrs New England IPA, which was super hazy and juicy, incredible flavors. I also had the Hazy Pale Ale, big fan of its juicy yet mellow finish. The beertender was so nice and I really enjoyed talking to him, I wish I remembered his name! I was visiting family from San Diego and was beyond happy to find this gem. Highly recommend this spot, tons of spots, a few TVs, and a really laidback welcoming vibe!
In a sea of average, Autodidact is a standout. Friendly team, super nice owners. This is the kind of place that you want to see be successful. Go, if you haven't yet. A nice variety of styles. Bring some food, get comfy and stay a while.
