Minado used to be one of my best-loved restaurants. However, I've noticed that the quality of the sashimi has dwindled over these past couple years. At first, I thought it was just a fluke that the sushi was subpar. But after dining there a few more times, I've noticed that Minado has continuously been serving sushi with sashimi that is not fresh, tasty and of high quality. I do commend Minado for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere (not too noisy, tables are not placed too closely to other guests, beautifully-crafted traditional decorations). Hopefully, Minado can be restored to the excellent restaurant it used to be.

I've been to the location in Carle place, NY but haven't been at this location yet. Unfortunately the one in carle place closed in March so I will try this one out when they reopen. I liked that Minado location so I hope I will like the one this one as well. The only thing that wasn't great is that they closed kinda early and one time they didn't have ice cream but overall it was a good buffet.

This spot is the one I like best. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The stuff is very warm and the food they serve is so fresh and tasty. I never decline to have a good meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.
Absolutely disgusting! As a 20 year customer of Minado, the new owner has destroyed the name and reputation of this place. The food selections have been changed, they fill 1/3 of all the hot and cold food trays leaving the back part of the trays empty. The sushi is different and disgusting now and here too you will find 1-3 pieces each, but the rice falls apart. They now insist you order your sushi so that the cook can replenish the empty platter, or else they leave it empty. The hot foods were cold and gave us the runs later in the evening and an upset stomach for two days following. All this and they still have the audacity to charge the same price. $76.00 for two people for garbage food. The new owner is cheap, and should not be allowed to continue doing business. Because of this new ownership, 3 Minado locations have been shut down. I hope this one also shuts down.

I had a fantastic at this restaurant. We loved the extraordinary atmosphere and the menu. The staff members were super personal. I’m glad we eventually decided to visit this place.

Went here several times before and always enjoyed it. Went earlier today for the first time in 3 years and wow, it unfortunately went downhill.

The restaurant has a beautiful vibe and a great selection of sea food, just as you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. The food was overall good but the sushi was great, phenomenal. The service was really good and got to meet the owner who let me and my girlfriend take some ice cream to go free of charge. The price is the only thing I would change because it doesn't seem to meet the expectations for many people but if money is not a problem for you then this restaurant is definitely a good option. I'd visit it again.
