After being turned away by Enzo’s (across the street) for being 2 minutes late for our reservation window we went to Bistro 46. So glad we did! From the food to the service everything was wonderful. Complementary bruschetta was even given for an appetizer. The staff was attentive and kind and the food too notch. A wonderful experience all around

Went there on Christmas Eve had a fabulous time. the food was fabulous. The service was outstanding very attentive. Had the Oso Buco special out of this world also had a beautiful salad special, which was delicious. Everything was very good. Usually do not get dessert but the cheesecake looked inviting so we got that and the special chocolate fudge cake very good Highly recommend.

We get together a few times a year with friends and it was my turn to pick the restaurant. I chose Bistro 46 because it was convenient for both of us and we weren't disappointed. We were warmly welcomed by Adolpho and seated immediately - we did have a reservation. The service throughout the meal was outstanding. Everyone loved their food choices. Portions are generous and we wished we could have ordered all the mouth watering specials. We were all able to get on street parking. There is outdoor dining but we chose to be inside the simple but beautifully decorated dining room. Noise level was low so were able to talk comfortably without yelling across the table. We will return.

Food was very good. I had the eggplant as app. Small and perfect for two people to share. For dinner I had the salmon with sauce on the side ( it’s cream based so I didn’t eat it) . It was a nice 6oz portion cooked very well. Spinach was delicious and roasted potatoes. It was simple but well done.
Dessert was yummy. I had their pumpkin tarufo. Creamy pumpkin ice cream with pistachios and chocolate. If you like pumpkin mocha you will love this.
Service was great. Our server was attentive and accommodating and came over to check and fill water at various times.
Thank you for soft surfaces. Atmosphere was loud but great for all people even me with my hearing impairment. I was comfortable because they had soft surfaces like linens to “drink” up the sound. Please keep them forever.
Note for owner
Two annoyances. 1) $33 fee for using a credit card on our bill. This is not nice. It should be mentioned when making reservations, on your menu and on your website. I get you charge a fee but that’s a lot for a small business to absorb. I would have brought cash or ran across the street to the ATM had I known.
2) I was uncomfortable with the bathroom. It is through several doors, was down two long flights of stairs that were creepy, and dirty. A lot in heels. Tp all over floor and out of soap. The door says “private residence” and packages at the entrance. This should be adjusted with better way finding to and from the bathrooms.

I’ve been to Morristown hundreds of times and somehow I have never gone to this restaurant or even heard of it. What a hidden gem. Not that big of a space but a very cute atmosphere, the food was absolutely fantastic. We had the braised short rib empanadas and burrata special for appetizers, we did need 2 of the empanada appetizers, as there were 4 of us and it only comes with one that is probably enough for 2 people. For dinner I had the filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked to how I asked them to cook it and so flavorful. My friends got the shrimp special and the scallop special and they all enjoyed their meals as well. I will definitely be back to try something else on their menu, also the fact that it’s a byob is great because it kept the cost down, spent less than $100 per person including tip, and we got 3 appetizers, 4 meals, and we all got our own dessert as well! Very happy with my experience !
