My husband and I had an excellent meal at Blue Morel last night We both ordered the roasted bass with maitake mushrooms, carrots and pumpkin butter, with a side of crispy Brussels sprouts. The dish was original and delicious and the service was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant!
We were so disappointed in our experience. We had picked Blue Morel because it's a nice quiet dining room and our party of 5 wanted to be able to have a conversation. They sat us at the table closest to the bar so we had a loud birthday celebration going on behind the whole time. The food was fine, not great. Oh wow, I mean, oh WOW! I know I say that a lot but OMG!!!! I haven't had fried chicken in so long, or at least this good. It was fried extra crispy, glazed with a little honey and the chicken skin with so much fat goodness.... I mean, OMG!!!! Give me some more! This place should also have just fried chicken skin with a little honey as well.... That would have made my dinner experience a whole lot better! Either way, I LOVE IT!
