It's an interesting old place. We sat in the bar area on very hard chairs and a fan was blowing very hard on one person of our party. They did turn it down, but not completely off. The food and drinks were worth the long wait. It was very delicious. We had duck and three different pasta dishes and everyone was very happy with their choice.

We were passing through Morristown and stopped at a restaurant but the wait was too long. The hostess recommended this restaurant. The hostess was very nice and we sat right away even with no reservations. The waitress was not very pleasant or knowledgeable. My husband had an order of shrimp cocktail which was very good. We split a burger but I took two bites and noticed it was very undercooked for my liking. The fries were tasty. We each had a soda that was $6 per bottle! The bill was $62! $28 for a burger with fries!! We will be sure not to visit this restaurant if we pass through Morristown again.

This was an exceptional special occasion dinner.The service was top notch. I’m trying to remember our waitresses name - Corina? - she made us feel so welcome.The food was really tasty. Favorite dishes were the scallop crudo, duck entree and the tuna tonnato << this was the tables overall favorite. Oddly there was a mayo that came with the tuna and the combo of frisée, that homemade mayo and tuna was the perfect bite.The only miss was the pork chop Milanese. We found it way too thick. Didn’t love the breading and felt the plate didn’t feel fully conceived.We also had oysters, salt & vinegar fries, ricotta and liver toast points all very good.The Som recommended a wonderful bottle of German wine within our budget. Something I never would have picked for myself but loved.If I was going to go on a date I’d start with the Not Too cocktail and the scallop and tuna dishes. Then have the German pinto and duck for dinner.

Although the place is beautiful, we had to send back 3 dishes that were cold and honestly inedible. The short rib pasta was so hard I needed a sharp knife to cut it. Service was unbearably slow and should have been a lot more upscale and refined for the price. I asked several times for a manager because our experience was so bad. They gave us 4 dishes and dessert free but the manager wouldn’t come to our table and I couldn’t find him. Very disappointing.

We had a bad waitress and she really ruined the whole experience and it was a special occasion. The drinks were horrible. It was so disappointing because I would never think that a restaurant of this caliber would have such bad drinks. We were planning to come back for their wine tasting night but this whole experience left a bad taste in our mouth and we will not be returning. This place is not comparable to Marea in the city.To the owner: Yes, I meant Marea in the city (apologies for the typo) to which we have been to multiple times. Overrated. Overpriced. Tiny portions. Bad service. Sour cream and onion dip appetizer made me embarrassed to be eating it. It was literally some low quality potato chips and dip out of a tub. Pasta entree was enough to feed a small child. Insane pricing. Service spotty with no one checking on drinks after the meal was served and too many people doing too little. Restaurant was half empty and I'm not surprised why. I'll never be back.

The food was one of the best meals I have ever had. The drinks and service were top notch. My only minor note, is that the music in the Washington room was a touch too loud,. Perhaps this was to mask conversation from nearby tables, but it was a little hard to hear my dining companion and the server.

Had date night here this past Saturday with husband. We were seated in the oyster bar. The seating was awkward as we ended up at corners of the table, he was not beside me but wasn't Infront of me either. Food was OK, nothing extraordinary. Drinks were way too strong. The place is beautiful and the service was great, however, do not think we will be coming back. Good experience just nothing worthy of repeating. Prices are very reasonable, so would recommend to try out and make your own opinion.
