Fantastic Taiwanese food and incredible service. Owner Jon has been running this place for over 40 years and grows his much of the vegetables himself. He won’t hesitate to give you food recommendations and chat about his experiences. Definitely worth the trip!

Family owned authentic Taiwanese restaurant. Many choices of comfort food. Have some rarely found dishes such as Toro fish soup 土托鱼羹 and Tainan bha-tsàng (Zong Zi)台南肉粽. No waiting even during peak hours. Street parking (metered) is available on the same side of the street, but somewhat difficult to find a spot during peak hours. Public parking garage is also available one block away on Cattano Ave, $2 for 1 hour.

I've been meaning to try Lyn's Palace for some time. What a nice place! According to the host, they have been at this location for 42 years, serving authentic Taiwanese and Chinese food. My order was prompt, warm, and delicious. Totally relaxed atmosphere, followed by a short, pleasant conversation. Will definitely be coming back soon... 💖🙏💖

Tonight, I stumbled upon a little slice of home — Lin’s Palace, a humble Taiwanese restaurant tucked away in New Jersey Morristown, run by the sweetest old couple who migrated to the US 53 years ago.

Sensing that I had travelled far and was craving something familiar after days of American food, the owner recommended their specialties — fragrant chives with top shell, homemade Taiwanese sausage, and fishball soup. Every bite was pure comfort, like a warm hug in food form.

The boss even sat down to chat, sharing stories of his journey here. His warmth reminded me of my papa, and how we used to enjoy simple, hearty meals together.

It wasn’t just dinner — it was connection, nostalgia, and a reminder that kindness travels across cultures.
Without a doubt, this meal is the highlight of my trip.

The best Taiwanese food you can find outside of Taiwan. Super authentic, and the boss is enthusiastic and cute. The vibe is just right. Highly recommended.

Tried the food from Lin’s Palace, as it’s just across the street from the hotel, very convenient. The restaurant interior needs to update definitely. The food was good and delicious, but the size of the take-out seemed a bit small. The cashier, should be also the owner, was very friendly and talkative. Recommended to give it a try!

Walking into this restaurant is like walking into a 1970's restaurant in Taipei Taiwan. It's certainly dated and looks/feels old. And sometimes it even stinks because they serve Stinky Tofu. But that's one of the things I love about this place. They serve real Chinese food. It's not fancy food (at least not the stuff we order). It's more homestyle which reminds me of my mom's cooking. The owners are getting old and I know l'll miss the place when it's gone.
