Fast and friendly service. High quality deli meats sliced to order and piled high. The Italian sub and the cheesesteak were fantastic! They are takeout only so we found a nearby park and had a picnic. Great first stop on a summer road trip.

Called ahead to pick up an Italian sub (regular) and the order was ready upon arrival. The store front is a small deli with the typical items, chips and drinks, to accompany the sandwiches.
I just ordered the Italian sub with some specifications, which they executed as requested. The price is reasonable compared to other chain restaurants, but it does feel better to support a local, small business.
The sandwich itself was delicious, and the sub roll was soft and fresh. 😋 I'm happy with my lunch item from Longfellow's. Thank you!

Delicious 😋 made to order subs at this legendary northern NJ deli. You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches on their menu. Parking right outside on the street but the line to order moves quickly. Can’t wait to come back and try their sloppy Joe.
I lived in nj back in 1984 what an experience with longfellows they had the best subs I’ve ever tasted better than jersey mikes in sc I’ve never tried them in nj though but sc yes it’s not the same as longfellows
